Well, the installer's working now but... 2.7 GB, what?
Well, the installer's working now but... 2.7 GB, what?
That should include all the Issues, which are pretty much small expansions.
Ok...
I'm making a tribute to Kingdom Come and Watchmen slash parody of the whole "nineties anti-hero" aesthetic (Punisher, Wolverine, Rorschach, Spawn, etc) in the AE. I tried a mission and it's hard as fucking nails. One lieutenant of my level rapes the shit out of me.
I want an emulator, the price is a big knock off for me as it counts even when you'r not on it!
I'm fairly certain that all CoH Emus have been abandoned or have very little progress So I think you should just suck it up and pay the monthly fee, not like it's a lot of money anyway, you'd get more than you need if you mowed some lawns
And the developers need it, they've been haemorrhaging subscribers for a while now. Hopefully Issue 14 will attract some more.
pick me
Is there a trial version of CoV? I would like to try this out, but being a hero is in my opinion a bit "meh". Those who would like to tell me to "just f'ing google it", please don't bother. Edit: Thank you for the answer.

Is there any reason that City of Heroes: Architect Edition is only available in the US on Steam?
Is there any reason that City of Heroes: Architect Edition is only available in the US on Steam?
You can get it from the NCSoft store as well. https://secure.ncsoft.com/cgi-bin/Store.pl?dnv=7834116345&action=toggleCategory&mode=open&category=2 Also I play on Freedom for the most part but have a hero on Virtue as well. Global handle is @WolvenFury and my main is a level 50 Mastermind named Ivan Gorazniek but I just got back into the game and am working on leveling up a Arachnos Soldier right now who's name is Agent Juarez.
Just bought it, but I accidentally made 2 trail accounts and I don't know which one has my characters on it. How can I tell? Worked it out: Went into install folder and found the playerslot.txt which lists your account, the server, character name and slot occupied. So now I know my account.

It is the same gameplay, and the villains aren't really "evil".
There's no option to upgrade my trial account. I click "Upgrade this account", it directs me to the use Serial Key page, I select the key, ir processes and then asks me to create a game account.
Well I bought the game but the fucking create an account portion of their website is slow as balls. When I finally wait forever and get to the point where I have to do the image verification, because of the amount of time it takes to load the pages it fucking tells me the image has expired and it takes me back. Fuck, I just want to play this shit.
Apparently the account server is total balls because they replaced it recently or something. I've been trying to get my account working since my last post.
I've been trying since last night. I really wish I had waited to buy the game before I could get an account set up.
Oh great, I finally got to the right page after several hours of timeouts and other such fun errors, and it doesn't list my serial code as one of the options for reactivating my trial account. I would send a support ticket but OH YES, it logs me off when I click on the support tab and then when I ask the question it asks me to make a new account because it doesn't recognise my login name.
Bought this from Steam, made a hero and went to Atlas park. Anything I should know before I start questing and stuff?
Bought this from Steam, made a hero and went to Atlas park. Anything I should know before I start questing and stuff?
Join a sewer team, at low levels they give a fuckton of XP.
I'm gonna get back into it I think
Join a sewer team, at low levels they give a fuckton of XP.
Aye, a typical sewer run will net you about 5-6 levels.
Aye, a typical sewer run will net you about 5-6 levels.
Only if you get a team that knows how to use their classes though, sometimes you get idiots trying to tank with a defender.....
Only if you get a team that knows how to use their classes though, sometimes you get idiots trying to tank with a defender.....
It's a sewer team, who cares? I tank with every class I put through sewers
the price is the putoff for this game, but I'm gonna get back into it during the summer
New expansion announced...! Today, NCsoft has announced the development of City of Heroes Going Rogue, the first major expansion for the City of Heroes franchise since the launch of City of Villains in 2005. As the name implies, Going Rogue will blur the line between heroes and villains by delivering a new alignment system, new primary characters, and more. We've got a full description of the expansion after the jump for those of you that are interested in, uh, Going Rogue... City of Heroes Going Rogue Expansion (via Press Release) In the Going Rogue expansion, hero and villain characters will become immersed in the new parallel universe known as Praetoria, which is governed by Tyrant, the evil incarnation of the game’s main protagonist, Statesman. As gamers search for Tyrant and the rest of his Praetorian guard, implacable foes and fierce resistance will arise to face them from all sides, causing heroes and villains alike to question their loyalties. City of Heroes Going Rogue will introduce a new alignment system that helps players explore the shades of gray that lie between good and evil. For the first time, hero characters can become villains and vice versa, enabling hero archetypes to cross over to the Rogue Isles and villain archetypes to experience Paragon City. Clearly marked missions, in addition to behaviors and decisions made by the player, will move a hero’s or villain’s moral compass, which could eventually change the hero’s or villain’s alignment. Going Rogue will also introduce two primary new fictional characters representative of this alignment shift in the game’s lore: Maelstrom, a pistol-wielding hero gone rogue, and a Desdemona, a demon-summoning villain who has been redeemed. “City of Heroes has brought a fresh new perspective to the MMO stage with its foray into the super-powered hero comic book genre, and we are excited to present gamers with even more innovative content in Going Rogue,” said Brian Clayton, general manager and executive producer at Paragon Studios. “For years, players could choose between playing as a hero or a villain. Now we will present a third, malleable path where players can be affected by the results of their actions, enabling them to further develop, unveil new perspectives, and overcome new challenges.” NCsoft will share more details on Going Rogue in the coming months. The game is currently in development by NCsoft’s Paragon Studios, the City of Heroes development team that most recently launched the ground-breaking Mission Architect system. The launch of Mission Architect sets a significant milestone for City of Heroes as the first MMO to allow players to create user-generated content. City of Heroes has and continues to set new standards among its MMO peers and player community with its engaging and approachable comic book-inspired universe theme and consistent delivery of concepts that break the standard MMO mold
Holy shit that sounds awesome, would be kind of weird to see arachnos soldiers and widows as heroes though
I've just paid for another month of play on my CoH account that hasn't been touched since release, any specific EU server I should reroll on?
Union i'd reroll on Union , Defiant is dead tbh you'll spend most of you time soloing on there.
