The touchscreen adds like shitton of gameplay possibilities that a simple thumb stick cannot do or very badly do. Look at Elite Beat Agents and Trauma Center for example. Elite Beat Agents is simply not possible, and Trauma Center requires stylus precision. [editline]11:25AM[/editline] also download play [editline]11:26AM[/editline] The DS was never suppose to be a media player. It was suppose to be a 100% gaming system. The PSP was suppose to be a portable media center.
PSP has download play, and there has been touch screens made on custom firmware.
PSP has download play, and there has been touch screens made on custom firmware.
If you're talking about PSPTouchME, that was never released. It was quickly abandoned by Harleyg. I remember following it closely years ago.
OH wow! TOUCH SCREEN! THAT'S SO FUCKING AWESOME I MUST GET IT, MON GET ME DS IT HAS TOUCH SCREEN! That's why it's a kids thing, There's little kids everywhere using the DS and I found it extremely boring and the games are all the same! And even the best DS games get boring fast. [editline]10:15AM[/editline] Also there's rumour of a PSP2.
you are a fucking retard. The point is that you cannot emulate something that originally has a touchscreen and it have the same type of game play you shitbag. Get your fanboy head out of your ass
DS, it has pokemon.

Get your fanboy head out of your ass
You're the fan boy here, just because you have a shit device which is as booring at scrolling through a menu on my touch screen phone.
Actually I find my games using my touch screen quite entertaining. Trauma Center <3
You're the fan boy here, just because you have a shit device which is as booring at scrolling through a menu on my touch screen phone.
You'd have to be either a fanboy or massive fuckwit to call either of the handhelds "shit".
My friend said that "psp can do more than the ds" and "ds sux". He still isnt convinced that the DS is better than the PSP.
The "ds can't play music/videos" argument is stupid. Mobile phones play music, you don't need a console to do that. They play videos as well but admittedly they tend to have smaller screens than either console.
DS because I like to touch people.
DS. The DS has more of a variety of fun games which makes it better in my opinion. I don't care about all the extras that a PSP can do.
This.
PSP is much better, DS is for like 13 year olds, full of kiddy games. PSP has much better graphics, much better games and is much more fun. [editline]01:58PM[/editline]
My friend said that "psp can do more than the ds" and "ds sux". He still isnt convinced that the DS is better than the PSP.
It isn't. PSP has stuff like: God of War: Olympus MGS: Peace Walker (upcoming) MSG: Portable Ops Monster Hunter games DS has: Pokemon Games scribblenauts lame childrens games

You are obviously a huge fan of PSP's and not much listing good games such as Grand Theft Auto China Town Wars, Crono Trigger, Advanced Wars and The World Ends With You.

I didnt list Crono Trigger and The World Ends With You because I dont like RPG's, also I should have listed Advanced Wars since i love advanced wars. Also GTA China town wars is on PSP as well, along with Vice City and Liberty City stories.
they both have entirely separate games designed for different markets
Everyone here is a fanboy, I prefer PSP, 'nuff said. and go ahead and rate me dumb, it won't change my opinion so don't waste your time on clicking a button to create a little box below a user.
[*] Neither (http://www.openpandora.org)
Ha, I came in here to say that. I preordered one. :3 I do prefer the DS over the PSP though, because it's Nintendo and Nintendo has a history of producing awesome games. Wikipedia gives a better summary than the official site, though.
Cool but how comes i've never seen that before?
It's not a big commercial corporate thing, like the DS or the PSP. It's made by a British guy, designed by a Canadian guy, helped in the software department by a German guy and a bunch of programmers, and they can only afford to produce 4000 in the first production batch.
I never Imagined a time where portable game systems would have "no games" or hear that they "haven't picked it up in so long"

PSP tries to feel like a portable home console when it isn't.
I love the 10-15 hour battery life of my DS Lite.
