just do the tutorials. you don't need someone to hold your hand, really.

tbh you can play the game forever without actually talking to any players. once you become good enough at doing pretty much anything, join a corp. and start becoming somebody. starting off with little to no experience and making friends might be fine and dandy but you're forgettable until you can fend for yourself.

Talk to one of them and make an appointment with the recuiter to move all your stuff to Goon 0.0.
Just contract the recuiter all your assets (yes even capships) and you will be fine.

They can also move your isk for you.
