for me the first time it was power strugles and war. helping your corp and alliance pull ahead against your enemies. not that i was very helpfull considering how much of a noob i was/am at eve. i'm similar to you in that i'm coning back after previously leaving for a while.

I use it for sleepers, so its buffered (not without logistic support obviously)
When I do get stuck out in hi sec, I use a capacitor regeneration thing for the engineering subsystem to play it safe. That cruiser is my life savings.
Though it performs pretty slow on missions that aren't sansha or guristas.
Tbh just stick with the Tengu. Unless if you want to bait or something you can use the Legion.

I wanted to go after tengu, but as I said, my wormhole corporation uses armor, and I already have decent laser skills so I just went for legion.

In that case Legion is best, you're right. But in general, the Tengu is the better choice for most tasks

Ah, that sucks, I was going to help you out. Also, are you sure they didn't probe you? A well-skilled cov ops pilot can probe a Drake pretty quickly.

I was checking the D-scan to hell, no probes showed up even on the flight out. I'm going to file a petition to CCP and see how the heck I got jumped without being scanned out.

Apparently even in a Harbinger fit only with t2 pulse lasers I do more than twice the DPS of Scout's tanking ability
He's pissed off at me in steam because no matter what I fit I could rape him. In my Marauder I could do it inside of four to five volleys.
That's because you have 35 million skillpoints and 10 million alone dedicated to gunnery :frog:

Made myself helpful around the tuskers with some jamming, ran with sam for a bit before he got off, then ran with the fleet without him. Was damn fun, I look forward to another stint with them some time in the future.
