What horrible fits... there isn't any tank at all just a buffer. :colbert:
Fucking noobs
Their failure is my profit :frogc00l:
So then would you say your profit is... fail?
:downsrim:
Tried game out. It feels like a job. I swear when I looked away from the computer screen I had been teleported to an office.
What were you doing?
What were you doing?
1 million isk says his answer will be "Mining in a frigate."

Get out
I've been thinking about getting this game for ages. Should I?

It will be very slow paced when you first start out, and you will not know what to do once you finish the tutorial.
You could mine for cash, but do not take it up as a career like I did. I moved on to way more profitable things 3 years too late.

It's really sad, because mining used to be really lucrative.
They seem to have just left mining alone rather than update it with the rest of the game :frown:

should totally make a mining minigame.
that would completely remove the one last appeal of mining, the fact that you can do it while 90% afk.
Mining needs a buff. ORE needs to come out and release a whole new awesome line of ships, modules, lasers, drones, etc.
There also needs to be an update to asteroids and ore types. NEW ORE DISCOVERIES.
And by "new line of ships from ORE" I don't mean like one or two ships. Like the recent Rorqual and whatever the fuck the other one is. I mean like an actual line of ships from the ground up to really get miners started.
Frigates, Cruisers, Battlecruisers, Battleships, Industrial ships, more specialized barges, etc. All geared towards mining or helping miners.
I believe Orca (one of the best ships ingame) is the ship your thinking of.
[editline]11:52AM[/editline]
There already are mining frigates and cruisers though, they just aren't specifically made by ORE.
All races have a mining Frigate and Cruiser. Anything bigger than that would probably just become gank targets. The "specialized barges" you speak of already exist: Exhumers.
I'm well aware of the current state of mining vessels in EvE. My first account was a miner from 2005 to 2009.
My point is the only way to make mining lucrative again and more desirable as a profession is to MAKE it more desirable. More ships, more modules, more lasers, new ores. That way you make it a viable profession again instead of hurting the entire game economy by, say, reducing the amount of minerals you get from reprocessed loot from missions or rogue drone drops.
Though you have to take into account macro'ers when updating mining.
Ban them.
YOU DON't HAVE TO MINE THE RUSSIANS AlreaDY MACRO 95% OF ALL mINEraLSssssss
Hey LF9 stop being a faggot and reply to me in EvE :v:

Im not sure if your retarded or have no financial sense at all, the reason mining is Not profitable is b/c of macro miners, thats all, and thats it. Oversupply has caused prices to go down, you might be thinking oh man these macro miners make little effect, but if you have ever seen the hacking scene you can see that these guys who are actually sucessful macro mining usually have at least 3 characters mining. There are also guys who have 5 computers mining with their own custom programs who just wont get caught, cuz their smarter than that. Too many minerals being sold on the market drives prices down, which causes the price of mostly everything else too fall as well. If you can get rid of the majority of the macro miners you can cause prices to go up again'
