Well, I just applied to EVE university, but I'm looking for a large corp that regularly roams around in fleets does pvp. Maybe I should just stick with eve university until I get more acquainted with the game though.

If you're new stick at the university a bit, most players quit when they can't find anything to do so sTiCK aT iT
if you want PvP roams I'd recommend joining some lowsec piwates (make sure they're not baddies first))) or a nullsec alliance

I've been reading a lot of the comments, and they ring the truth, while I don't play eve (yet) I became familiar with the art style and general design during my research for my entry [url=http://pogothemunty.deviantart.com/#/d2z4xve]Here btw[/url], which many feel the judging team has neglected to do.
With a total of 3807 entries, and a judging time of 1 week, I'm not surprised that a lot of people feel that their entries weren't even seen by judges, and without a way to know if an entry was eligible, disqualified or unviewed, some entrants feel the judging was rushed and the results misrepresent the talent of the contest as a whole.

just had my first solo pvp experience in a shitfit rifter - it was fun!
engaged a maller ratting in 0.4, was doing fine and it brought out 3x warrior II's which in my piracy-newbie-state i took too long to engage and after taking out two of the three, my rifter popped!
shame really, as he wasn't hitting me at all, it was all his dumb drones. funny thing is his two drones cost 3x as much as my rifter on its own.
