Can't you buy like 1000m ISK from those buyisk sites for like 30 bucks? I know you're not supposed to do it and you're paying real money for virtual money, but if you're going to slave away for something you might as well do it more efficiently and just put in 3 hours of work time than whatever unforeseeable amount of hours it would take to come up with 1000m ISK.

You can, but if CCP finds out they will take it away (even if it puts you into the negative). If you really want to buy isk you can just buy a 60 day GTC and convert it into 2 plexes (about 700m for $40 iirc).

Buying virtual money is just about as bad as giving a webcam whore ten more dollars to give you a private show.

Well that was a great waste of about a month of training... A friend and I had a great idea for mining where he'd train for exhumers and I'd train for freighters to haul everything. He'd mine and drop ore when he got full and I'd grab what he dropped. Little did I know that freighters are completely useless for that task since they can't grab anything in space that wasn't in a freight container (how do they even end up in space since a freighter can't jettison anything?) or a freighter wreck. You would think it might mention something like that as a note in the ship's description or something...
