I was training destroyers 5 with a few days left, lucky me.

You'll get it. We don't pay for a monthly subscription that ends on a certain day, we pay for actual Game Time. 30 Days, 60 days, etc... It's basically the same thing, only it isn't.

They're the most generous out of any other Pay to Play MMO company there is
They're working on the 14th *Free* Expansion pack, Buy a 20 Dollar game with the trial and get 51 days of play time before ever spending on a subscription, Buy the game time IN game with IN game money, Give out free trials and if they sub you get 30 days free added onto your current game time left...

As many people have stated, which im currently working on, do all of the tutorials (and the story arc.. thing)! thattle give you the whole sandbox-ness feeling and from there on you can decide what to do

But I think minmatar would be a good choice if you want to do most things in the game, since this race got both types of tanks, and are often a popular choice in pvp.

I don't see what there is to be scared about. I jumped right into EVE without any knowledge of it other than the races and from hearing my friends in vent talk to their fleet members.

I also did the tutorial but skipped everything else. I started the epic mission arc a few months into my play time and stopped halfway through because it was fucking boring. :/

Get into exploration, they are like epic arcs who are les boring and with better rewards.
So, who else forgot to add a long skill before the downtime commenced?

This is why I picked a skill that would take 10 days to train. On Tuesday. Downtimes are silly, but hopefully everything will be nice and speedy (it was fine for me before but ok) when we get back online.
Its midday in GMT time... Valve Junior still hasn't managed to bring the servers online...
Relax. It's not like you were going to do anything except bot mine anyway; It's too risky to do anything big after a move like this. The server is too unstable.

They probably don't have the usual people there working on it... They did fly a bunch of people up to Iceland or some damn place, rent out a whole studio and put it together like a big sporting event for the Alliance Tournament 8, Had announcers, interviews, behind the scenes looks, were broadcasting the actual fights on TVs and shit
