DL EVE From the EVE Online website, don't use the steam client, it has updating issues.

Always had Steam version of EVE, never had any problems with it.
Yeah I don't get all this hubbub about steam client being bad, I've been using it and it's perfectly fine.
Ok I launched the exe in the steam folder and it gave me a dll error which I fixed...

Just got my girlfriend interested in this game. Though I'm not sure what aspect of the game to introduce her to. What convinced her seemed to be planetary interaction. Myself I haven't played for a while now, and I've no idea how that works out.
Anyone who has any ideas what direction to guide her into, or any guides about the planets?
In addition I assume I've been kicked out of the corp I was in. Anyone who wants to pick up two newbies to the game, (I should have about 5mill sp, and she's totally fresh) or should I go for something like.. eve university?

Then it was 5 dreadnoughts. I wasn't paying to much attention as I was too busy wanting to get my 400 million (worth) of gas I had harvested out of the system...which I was unable to. Fun first two weeks.

Speaking of PI, the last time I even bothered fucking with that was a week ago. It just seems so god damn useless. The one useful thing I can think of that can be manufactured is Enriched Uranium.

PI is fuckin great man, you can make everything your POS needs except the isotopes with Pi.
You just dont got it down.
Plus, if you do it right, you can make easy money from it too.
I don't feel like devoting time to train the skills to set up multiple colonies on multiple planets and then devote time to get all of the resources to a processing planet and then take the 50 units of whatever I get from the hundreds of thousands of units of materials I dump into it to my corps POS.
To me it seems like a waste of time, thus I refuse to screw with it. But if you are making money from it, good. I'll just stay out of it.
Yo man you can make some good cash without doing much other than clicking, clicking and dragging (into cargohold), and warping.
I'd say that's pretty good.
You can say the same with mining but you can be doing other things while "PI'ing"
A couple guys were Jetcan Baiting in a Starter System and taking out people flying an Ibis... the sad part was there was 2 of them, and one was a 5 year Vet in an all Tech 2 Fitted Harbinger doing the killing
I baited him and he wouldn't take it, afraid that my Hurricane would rip him to shreds, but his little Corp mate took it, and I friggin' One shotted his ass. And he got all Butthurt about it too... I laugh at that

I once saw in Arnon how gm warped in, his ship had some cool red sensor boosting like aura around it and then popped the jetcan baiters and thanked them in local for free ammo from their station hangar.
Also what skills are you guys going to spend your free SP on?

Yeah, GM ships glow red, it's pretty cool and stands out really well, They are also invincible

You get all sorts of materials depending on the planet and then extract them and go on to more complex items.
Yea, for example, on my planet, I'm combining water and bacteria to make test cultures, and then you can sell them
