You might want to try moving into a destroyer, it's easier to run level 1 missions in than a frigate.
A place like [url]http://eve.battleclinic.com/browse_loadouts.php[/url] can help you learn how to fit a ship. Start with high rated fits for the ship you want to fly, see what makes the fit effective and go from there.

Basically you Mine from a planet, turn those items into a Tier 2 Item, then combine Multiple Tier 2 Items to make a Tier 3 Item, and Combine Multiple Tier 3 Items to make a Tier 4... Some of it has less use than others... say Oxygen is one that's useful, because players need oxygen for their Player Owned Stations.... But now that PI is out, the price of Oxygen will drop dramatically since it'll be fairly easy to make, for anyone

I'm fairly sure that ships flown by GM's are not red, the only one that does glow red is some red daredevil that only GM's can access.
Most ISD and GM's I've seen were flying polaris frigates.

God damn, I was running around in lowsec in a HAM drake and I got completely raped. At first it was just two frigates (I forget which exact types, but they were definitely not T1s) doing ~150 dps on me, which I tanked. One of the frigates was orbiting me so fast it was outrunning my HAMs, and was outside of webbing range. The other was tackling me, and using an energy vampire so I couldn't run my micro warp drive to try and get them in webbing range as well as my hardeners. After seeing that they couldn't break my tank (staying at 35%), they called in a fucking Myrmidon, which finished me off. :frown:

Check your latest version, and download the patch & install into your <steamname>/common/eve online folder.
Once you're done with that, go into your EvE online folder, and run the repair.exe application.
