Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can buy and sell to make some cash?
I was thinking of buying rifters in jita/minny space then selling them in amarr.
That's the best I've come up with by myself, and it's probably godawful.

So salvaging in low-sec sounds fun.... I'm guessing there is a high chance of losing my newbie ship however!

Unless you're going to be giving him isk any time he needs it (which will hurt him more than help him, people need to learn to be self-sufficient), how do you expect him to fund a pvp habit? No one can start off pvping without a source of income.

Seriously, I haven'r even managed to get to HQ yet, I've got two or three jumps into nullsec and boom suddenly I get podded by a group of battleships so big you could wipe out the fucking Jovians with it.
I'm going back to missions and PVE and staying there.

You really should be getting help moving down to your alliance's space. If they're not willing to help their new members, there's something wrong. But you shouldn't be going around moving your own ships through 0.0 by yourself either. All your stuff should be carrier'd/JF'd up, and you just run up in a covops/shuttle and make a jump clone.

I've been in alliances with lots of special people who tank killboards like that, so by all means I don't use that as a representation of you. It's just an interesting choice of company if everyone seems to be out to get themselves killed.
