You've played for a year and never PVP'd? in a PVP game???
eve isn't necessarily a PVP game. it's a player oriented game. that is, if you never meet other players, you're doing it wrong. whether you directly attack other players or not doesn't really matter.
but even then, you're paying $15 a month, I think you get to say what the point of the game is for yourself.

Thank you, bothers me when they say eve is a pvp game. Player orientated and pvp are different. And I have pvp'd like twice, its fun. Just not my cup of tea.
Yeah you're right, I mean I guess you can fire at rocks together and call that a game!!! (whatever you waste your cash on)
[editline]04:25PM[/editline]
I've always seen it (most people do=]) as PvE being an income for ISK and PvP is what they do for fun
[editline]04:26PM[/editline]
I mean you can by all means keep telling yourself EVE isn't a PvP orientated game but it won't come true any time soon sorry
just out of curiosity, when did it become your right to tell people what to enjoy? I'm genuinely interested.
I hate to be a douche, but BBJ, you need to stop telling people that they need to do this or that, simply because you would rather do it.
I'm just sayin'
[editline]04:52PM[/editline]
Wow ninja
Saying EVE is a PvP game =/= telling people what they need to do
[editline]05:07PM[/editline]
I mean if you would like to shoot at NPCs or rocks by yourself wouldn't a, I dunno, singleplayer game (((without a monthly fee)))))))))) be right up your alley?
Some people like to mine in fleets and just chat
Let's say I've got a 2 year old character that I played for a few 4 months and quite. I probably miss handled my skills training. Should I make a new account/character? or does the poor skill choice not really hurt anything from a new character stand point?
Do not make another character, just persevere. Plough through any problems by reorganising you training.
I made the same mistakes.

You can always train up good skills now AND have your shitty/misplaced ones too

Yes
BULABA! How's the corp? I'll be home in 4 or 5 days.
PS. you might have to log onto my account and pop on a skill in 3 or so days. :)
Some people like to mine in fleets and just chat
You can do that while doing pretty much anything in EVE, while making more money doing so.

the only benefit would be using the new character skill boost to train the skills you need quickly, but unless you really botched your previous skill plan it shouldn't matter.
Okay, So there are to many people online for EvE to handle? what kind of shit is that?
Nevermind, got in.
Those skills you "mistrained" WILL become handy some day
^yep
I thought Gunnery V would be useless, but I trained it back when I started and it really really helps.

Gunnery 5 should never be thought of as a useless skill. A useless skill would be training something like defender missiles to level 5.
Yes but a new player might think a 1 week+ skill is useless, as it only yields a 5% bonus to something
Yea sometimes 20-25 days for a skill that only boost 5% is outweighed by a skill that takes less time and can be just as useful.

I'm not so good at this PvP thing. :saddowns:
the thing I like about eve is the corporations, economy, and alliances. Made my first 5 billion in a around a month, hoping to make 10 billion in my next.
Gents, if you're exceptionally bored and want to watch a livestream of Eve, http://www.livestream.com/evelivestream?t=104478
We're planning on going to interesting fleet fights and streaming it maybe.

can I borrow a couple hundred million
You're all a bunch of selfish pricks.
Real men give away all of their hard earned savings, and then get their main money maker destroyed from stupid mistakes. :smug:
[editline]06:12PM[/editline]
So I've decided to take a leisurely approach to EVE by getting an effective Raven. Last year of high school and all, don't have much time to play, so it all works out in the end.

It doesn't; I tried it a month ago.
It worked for me when there was that sale
