They killed the concept of Postal.
Love how you guys think the game is bad because of Source. Blame the tools, sure.
They killed the concept of Postal.
Isn't the concept of Postal to kill people gruesomely? I don't really think they killed it. [editline]5th November 2010[/editline] Also I'm just hearing about this now, why is everyone so angry that they used the source engine?
I like how the only people complaining about it being in third person are the ones that only ever played postal 2 then call them selves hardcore fans fuck off with your shit already, it's the dev's games and they can make it how they want, they don't try to make bitches like you happy, they try to push the limits That's just what running with scissors are like so I expect good things from this game.
So there is a demo, when can we play it? :)
LOL people complaining about the perspective. Postal 1 was a iso-metric-view topdown 3d shooter Postal 2 is a FPS Postal 3 is a third person. I wonder why aren't you people bitching about Postal 1 perspective
Because Postal 1 was actually a pretty horrible game.
but essentially so was postal 2, it was nothing spectacular gameplay wise or graphics wise. it had poor animations, bad voice acting in general... it was just entertaining.
but essentially so was postal 2, it was nothing spectacular gameplay wise or graphics wise. it had poor animations, bad voice acting in general... it was just entertaining.
if a game is fun, it is not a bad game. it may not be extremely well made. but it is a good game.
I won't bitch about it being run on Source unless it ends up having the same load times as the original version of Postal 2 did. If it has the same load times as Postal 2: Share The Pain did, then I couldn't care less if it has small maps. I get to shoot Uwe Boll in the face, so that's enough for me to rent it.
Kinda disappointed with the fact they used the source engine for a postal game.
I hoped they'd swap postal to the Unreal 3 engine. I mean, that's more equipped for the job, and is quite pretty while not needing the best PC in the world to run. I'd rather that than Source.
I think source does it's job on somwhat cartoony graphics. If we can piss on people, cut their limbs and make it entertaining like Postal 2 i'll be happy
As of now, i only got three problems with this game, first, the fact that it runs of source, since that might very likely mean that the loading times will be just as horrible as postal 2's were. The second, is that somehow it actually taking them longer to release this game than it took to do it with postal 2, and yet, as far as i know atleast, postal 2 actually used its own engine, while this uses another engine altogether, and one that is incredibly easy to modify too. And the third is the fact that the demo is not playable anywhere near me.

I got another chance to fuck with Postal 3 Demo, so I didn't miss it. Going to upload video few hours later if everything goes right. This time I made gravitygun pick up items and throw them just like in hl2.
So, here's the second video. Better quality + it is longer. Enjoy.
So... you wasted time playing the game instead of using usbswissknife to copy the content of that computers hard drive?
Is it possible to open hl2 maps using the console?
Is it possible to open hl2 maps using the console?
Depends on their bsp version. But since there is GG, it might be
I think its pretty good. I will get it if its released for sure.
The main menu is awesome.
So... you wasted time playing the game instead of using usbswissknife to copy the content of that computers hard drive?
Lol,mouse, monitor and keyboard is all I could access. I took compact hard drive espicially to d/l the demo, but darn comps were locked. Seriously locked. There were no hl2 maps, I checked. Main menu is hl2-based, it will be changed in a final build I guess.
