...No, you cant cancel your combos with a dash or counter in DMC.
Adding Cancelling and Countering to your combat system makes it instantly deeper.
And in DMC I end up spammig powerful moves that knockback the enemy while in GoW some enemies are not affected by power moves and would rape your skirt wearing spartan ass with a spear.
Darksiders is in-between.

Without a doubt God of War.
DMC's combat system is way better than GoW's but GoW's story is more intriguing.
Well it depends on if you want to fight Greek mythological figures or demons and the such. While GOW is indeed possibly more epic, the enemies in DMC IMO are much cooler along with the castle.
Devil May Cry 1 & 3 > God of War 1-3 > Devil May Cry 4 > Devil May Cry 2

Doesn't mean you can't totally adore both.
Ninja Gaiden is the wannabe with inferior combat and false difficulty.
True, DMC has more flair going for it but GoW gets the award for raw efficiency at combat, if you make every move right no time is wasted to crack open your enemies skull, and the end result is so much more satisfying.
To be honest, I think that description fits Devil May Cry much more than God of War.
There's nothing like the Satyr's from GoW in DMC what seeming block for no real reason with no sign of it going to happen.
In Devil May Cry you can neutralise all enemy damage with a single move if you do it right.
No point in arguing when Bayonetta is the indisputable winner.
Devil May Cry 3 is better than Bayonetta imo.

Agree.
I only have DMC4 and GoW Chains of Olympus and what I have to say is that DMC is more difficult while GoW has more action and less puzzles.
I dont see where all the interest lies in the God of War series, played the first and second, couldn't finish either... Krato's seemed like a gigantic pussy in GoW1 too... "OOOHHH, IM SO EMO HARDCORE, FALLING OFF A CLIFF"... fag...

I have all the DMCs... Wish I had all of the GOW counterparts and another game to replace the 4th.
God of war just felt a lot more like I was mashing my head on the controller, devil may cry actually made me think about combat. Thus I give DMC the edge here. Only the original and maybe 3 though.
