I want to get The Sims 3, but frankly, I don't have the money to dish out on all the expansions, any idea when a deluxe pack or something might come out? Also, do you guys think I could run it on an intergrated graphics card? I ran The Sims 2 fine, and my computer is pretty good, other than my graphics card.
Also, interactive jobs were done before, on a console Sims, The Urbz had quick time button pressing things for every job, which were shit, to be honest. Let's hope this is much better than that.

A thing I hate about The Sims 3 though, is the way you swap bethween families.
You exit the family, then select edit neightbourhood, then make a family, and then move it into a prebuilt house or ground.
I've even lost a family because of that, and their house became invisible unless you were a neightbour, and their baby stayed there so it was a constant crying.

World Adventures was probably contender for best Sims expansion ever.

Pets was an absolute mess of a Sims 2 expansion, unlike the others it only really added one thing: Pets.
And then the pets were extremely dull and just got in the way. By no means was it the worst expansion though, it was alright.
I bought all of the expansions as they were released up to Seasons I think, liked them all. Then I missed out whatever the next one was and ended up buying the Freetime one. Freetime seemed to be a lot more expensive than the ones before it, I ordered it anyway and waited for it in anticipation.
In was the biggest letdown I've ever had (Apart from Spore) and I completely gave up on The Sims until 3 was released.

I do agree, but from what i've seen, if they do remake a pets one, it will probably be as good as the others (but you better be able to control the pets).
That fire-fighter scene was pretty badass. I never knew the sims could be so badass

Sims 1 expansions were alright. Living Large and House Party seemed more like Stuff Packs compared to what the later ones added. And the Vacation expansion was pretty dull.
I did however like the other four, Making Magic being one of my favorites.
The "magic" bit that Apartment Life added was pretty weak in comparison.
I'm still waiting for Superstar to get remade. It was my favorite expansion of the Sims 1, and yet it hasn't even really been done again. And I think it could be improved upon immensely. It'd be neat to have your sim be an actor, and actually see him on the tv. Or have your sim be a musician, and you could go to a studio and record a song or album and make profits off of it. The musician career in the base game is too dull.
