It's new content and stuff to do to keep you from getting bored.
Sims 1's expansions were one of the best expansions I've ever seen on game industry. They really renewed the fun on The Sims. Livin' Large was like "OH SHIT WTF I CAN MAKE SEX" House Party: damn, who didn't like those balloon seats? Damn, when I got Hot Date, it was amazing! "HOLY SHIT I CAN ACTUALLY LEAVE MY HOUSE, FOR REAL!" Vacation added some nice stuff, like snow and beaches. Unleashed was revolutionary. Shit, DOGS!? Do I really have to say anything else!? (I was that dumb at the time.) Superstar - that was fucked up. I couldn't get the meaning of having AVRIL LAVIGNE on my game. The Sims: Makin' Magic. The motherfucking icing on the cake. Damn. It was almost a new game, The Sims felt complete, at last. I loved it. Well, after this lot of words. I really enjoyed The Sims when I was younger. It amazed me how a game could revolutionize itself so many times. I got bored and BAM - here comes a crazy expansion. Nowadays I just don't have the pacience and time to play it - but my mom and my sister love them. My mom bought a notebook and I installed The Sims 2 for her there - she's back to this little addiction. Well, I hope I didn't say too much crap on this post. Peace.
Sadly though, sex and balloon chairs don't compare to what was added later. Hot Date added Downtown and the ability to travel and go out for dinner by yourself or on a date. Unleashed added pets, gardening, and expanded the neighbor hood lot to over 40 lots. Vacation added a new neighbor hood with snow, woods, and beaches. Only thing I disliked was how little there was to do when you got there. Superstar added a new neighborhood also, and you have the ability to get famous by being a musician, actor, or model. And Making Magic added a new neighborhood, spells, charms, baking, nectar and potion making. House Party did allow you to throw parties, but that and the items that those two expansions had can't even compare to what was added in the later ones.
Did I see servo at 0:31?
I love expansions. What're you complaining about? It's new content and stuff to do to keep you from getting bored.
I do kind of wish they cost less though, a lot of them were kind of expensive.
I read the title as "amphibious expansion pack" underwater houses would have been cool
That do look fun. Time to install The Sims 3 again i guess...
You mean, Time to *cough pirate cough* the sims 3 again because I refuse to pay for a continuous blackhole of doom. (User was permabanned for this post ("Warez" - Hezzy))

(User was permabanned for this post ("Warez" - Hezzy))
April '07 you would have thought he'd know that Warez is a ban in here.
Anyone else find that the Sims 3 was a game that didn't exactly catch your attention like The Sims and The Sims 2 did? I don't understand, I enjoyed playing it for around 1-2 hours then, when I turned it off, I had little to no motivation to play it again at a later time.
Ghost buster :D

(User was permabanned for this post ("Warez" - Hezzy))
Ahahah perma-banned over warez, I guess the mods are starting to catch on that 80% or more of Facepunch pirate games. Should have stuck to jokes about CP, murder, Muslims, brutal religion bashing, threads about doing illegal drugs. And Warez claims an 07'er. Ain't that a bitch?

The game was cool, but once you were nagged to do what your sims wanted to do as opposed to what you wanted to do to them you get punished. Also maybe it is just me, but mod support was much better in sims 2 than in 3. It was just easy as drop the file into downloads and now use the TS3 Install monkey.

You are not forced to buy them.
After being a drone and buying ALL of the Sims 1 EPs, and ALL of the Sims 2 EPs (but not the Stuff Packs), I finally said NO to World Adventures. . . . . . and now I kind of want this one. :frown: [editline]01:17PM[/editline] Also, while we're on the topic of the Sims 3, I remember when the Sims 3 first came out, I thought it was decent, but not as fun as the Sims 2. However, I knew the Sims 2 still had an ass ton more of content from all the EPs. Since then, has The Sims 3 fleshed out a little more? Or is it still kind of the same?
I just hope this means that you get to control how you work at all jobs, because if that's the case I'm totally in. I would love to be a police officer. >:)
