1187 was so bad I didn't even get passed the apartments. (I literally quit because it was so bad)
[editline]10th March 2011[/editline]
slums 2 and rock 24 were good.
:colbert:
Combine destiny was also pretty cool
Portal: Prelude only because of the Microsoft Sam-esque voice acting. Have there been any fan-made voice replacements done by real people so Mike, Erik, Paul (Or whatever the third guy's name was) and GLaDOS actually sound human?
Cinematic mod and everything about it. The stupid hollywood music, characters, even the supposed graphical improvements. I'd rather replay half life 2 vanilla for the seventh time
remember Aperture Science Source?
remember Aperture Science Source?
dude i can't wait for aperture science source source on the portal 2 engine

asss
slums 2 and rock 24 were good.
They're both poorly made mods. Especially Slums 2. I had a review written down somewhere.
Edit: See the second post.

HL2: Sewers. A really godawful mod with gray-colored HUD for no reason and the ugliest maps ever.
Portal Prelude, because there were constant texture pop-ins and the voice acting was cheap.

Believe me, these two are worst ever.
Besides they're extremely russian.
i havent played it, but i heard city 14 was a really bad mod, you start in an apartment. you have to find a crowbar, which is apparently under a couch.. and you crawl through a vent which leads to the sewers.... o.o yeah because people in apartments like to breathe in shit.
among other really bad things...
There was this one mod about the seven hour war called 1187: Episode One which was really much more horrible than it first seemed
I liked that mod personally. Alright, John was pretty irritating, but generally, I thought it was pretty decent.
Worst mod I've played is Ravenholm, most of the maps are confusing as fuck to get around, there's little to no indication of where to go next, and there were some sections where smashing a single crate crippled you and forced you to reload to a point where said crate wasn't smashed. I also just didn't like the feel of it, felt too much like someone trying far too hard to imitate what Valve did when they first introduced us to Ravenholm, but it comes off as something entirely unpleasant.
I've never played it, but i heard 1187 is shit.
1187: shit story, shit writing, shit dialog, shit design, shit mechanics, shit everything.
I could continue, but other people have already gone over it.
Situation Outbreak.
I've only played Nightmare House 2, so I suppose it doubles as the best and worst mod I've ever played. :v:
I'm waiting for a Dear Esther post, it just seems bound to happen.
C'mon i bet all those people who are bashing here mods that are named in this thread can make a better one
Black Mesa Source.
C'mon i bet all those people who are bashing here mods that are named in this thread can make a better one
That is the worst argument ever.
Brainbread for HL1, it wasn't really bad, but its the worst i've played out of all :3 Hated the Zombie AI though, they were just like zombies, stupid D:

Really? I loved that game.
Obsidian Conflict.
Really? I loved that game.
I said i like it >_< But out all of the mods i played, that's the worst for me. (Played Zombie Panic:Source , Get a Life, Overwatch, Proyect Z, Zombie Panic, and Resident Evil Cold Blood Beta 2 )
Mods of Valve games? HL2 Wars. Concept is great, but there's a ton of minor bugs and the balance is off.
Also, this chapter contains voice acting. BAD voice acting. Seriously, it's like they were reading it STRAIGHT FROM THE SCRIPT.
It's called a cold read, a lot of mods and some lower quality professional games make the mistake of not letting/telling their voice actors to read the script a few times before hand, and to take multiple takes of the same clip. Good VAs ask for the script when they catch wind that they'll start their recording soon, and practice them frequently.
Portal Prelude
I couldn't even get past puzzle 3 :argh:
Human Error, IMO. So much wasted potential.
Also, the maps are bland, the new alien models are shitty, etc.
I dunno, but I simply don't like it
Half-Life 2: SMOD
Not saying it's bad, I actually enjoyed it, but the weapons are just...
I'm waiting for a Dear Esther post, it just seems bound to happen.
Dear Esther was interesting, but not really my kind of game. The maps also were ugly and badly designed.
Portal Prelude: Lazy voice acting though it moderately fun.
After playing Killing Floor retail, I decided to download the original mod to see if it was good. Safe to say that it's total ass in comparison.
Killing Floor was made on the Unreal Engine 2k4. Who the hell told you it was a source mod?
