I assume you were shot in the finger by an AWP and died, then uninstalled the game while screaming "HOLY FUCKING SHIT, THIS GAME SUCKS MONKEY FUCK!"
I had a lot of fun with that, until I actually played with people who remembered what made the original so great: grenade spam.
Everyone keeps saying 1187 -- I love it so far. The guy following me around is forever a SWEET BRO since I agree on mostly everything he says. There was this one mod I played recently that was supposed to re-create Half Life 2's beta. The first chapter was a ship with some guy in an orange coat, had decent voice acting, but holy fucking cunt nuggets on steroids, so many fucking enemies. Espicially the super-stalkers who rape you in one hit what the fuck. And even then it was only ONE CHAPTER of actual gameplay.

That's just 2 or so maps, the rest of the game is mainly sven-coop style shoot/puzzle maps.

That's Missing Information. It's less of a mod then it is a showcase of beta stuff remade. A proper mod version of it completely using the beta storyline is in development by the same guys.
I only really play a mod if looks decent, so probably The Ship (because there were no servers).

I miss The Ship. That game was fucking great. Someone should organize a event or something.

How is Garrysmod bad? There's more than just sandbox.
On the flip side, the best mod I've played so far is Nightmare House 2. However, after beating it, I was a little too scared to play again, so I deleted it shortly afterward. I kept the boss music loops though, those are pretty badass.
I would say Blue Portals is superb, and supremely impressed me with it's concepts and visuals.
However, most of the game-play is less of puzzles and more on reaction time and portal tricks.
I'm not saying it's bad. I just personally hate that kind of game-play.
It did. JBmod as a Source sandbox mod is actually significantly older than GMod, yet lost the tech race horribly. You know the Leafblower? It's a bit of a signature JBmod tool; I bet my pants that Garry implemented the near-identical GMod tool just for the sake of flipping off JB fans :v:
he did, there's a command you can enter in the console to get it.

That map was really fun (was it ever turned into a mod?). Physics traps, really good Ravenholm-esque mapping of consistent quality, optimized. Got boring way before a million though!
The makers of Battle-Force found their singleplayer was a mess, so they're getting rid of it so only multiplayer will remain.
And beware, townspeople, they be making a horror mod.

Sad that I bought it because of this.
Most of the Smod mods. Especially the ones that try to be "realistic", where getting shot once covers your screen in strawberry jelly and getting three times kills you.

The Island aka Dead Sector: Source.
When I hit new game the mod started with no chapter selection menu, and I was stuck in the ground/wall, I couldn't noclip cause somehow the bastard took out/disabled noclip (Is that even bloody possible?), and the cave walls were brush based.
What the fuckkkkkk
How is Garrysmod bad? There's more than just sandbox.
That's where the problems begin :v:
Mainly it's the community.
Portal: Prelude. The robot voices were so annoying and the levels were impossible. Plus when I played it I had a crappy computer, when I tried to play the ending my computer would crash because of all the animations.

Garrysmod single player is still fucking awesome though.
Garrysmod single player is still fucking awesome though.
Except that it's a bit boring and there is almost nothing to do.

Oh god, I'm so excited. A horror mod from them is going to be non-stop loud noises and flashing lights in a giant under-furnished room.
That mod was okay, the whole thing just felt rushed, like they had a lot more content but they just cut it out for no reason and stitched what was left together.
play one of dem bonus maps dang da na da na
I typically look for the best mods to play and I went on a bit of a limb and tried out Strider Mountain.
The idea is cool and all (climbing up a mountain to take out a Combine base) but what it basically turns into is just a mod that is HL2 with a few re skinned weapons. Also the coding is extremely buggy.
The worst MP mod I played has to be WWI: Source. Had great potential and has gotten better but ultimately fails due to a terrible and dying community. The Devs need to connect with their community, especially in an MP mod.
I agree, WW1:Source had great potential, but there is no player base at all. The most I've ever seen on was a year ago when there was 3 people on the server.

A year ago I played on a server with like 16 guys but the devs were playing too and we talked about future updates while some retarded 12 year old kept asking for CoD style flamethrowers while I was curious about tanks and shotguns.
