Is it common for people not to confirm on the site after theyve recieved the gift? 2 of my public winners said thanks on chat then logged off :( I want my feedback!

after a week and if they put it as not received, contact steam support and get a refund, then contact cult or cg to ban the winners.

Do not send gifts via steam trade. Always use email provided, that place crawls with scammers who pretend to be winners by using the same/similar nicknames and avatars and tricking you into giving them games.

It's cg or Ellendi/lokonopa. Cult is less present on the site now due to other commitments.

Yeah, luckily it remembers who i sent each gift to in the interface, though one person wanted it traded so they could give it to a friend >.<
Ah, how kindness is thrown back in ones face.

I've grabbed another 2 codes since theyre cheap. If anything bounces then i can give out codes to the real winnes who i didnt email (one of them i did since i didnt get an add)
if not, ill bounce a code onto myself and giveaway the 2nd to anyone sometime in the future, and become more wary of the site
The 2 quick claimers had the right pictures to match the onsite winner pics, so unless theyre really fast at changing im safe ;D

It's against the rules, so you most likely you have been scammed.

Guess thats the end of public giveaways then :D
Ask and you might recieve
Thanks for the giveaways, sir.
I think I've entered every Call of Duty 4 giveaway on the site, ever. I want that game so bad. I played it a lot on PS3 when it was first released, then traded it for Skate 2 to a friend of mine. I regret that decision so much.

it's against the rules of steamgifts to enter a giveaway in place of a friend, report him.

it's not hard to right click, save picture, edit profile picture, and change the steam name in a couple of seconds.

Theres little to report. someone added me and has since deleted me and the only trace i now have is a constantly changing name on my gifts page.
Ive emailed out the 2 codes to the proper winners, lesson learned, luckily i only lost £3. It just disgusts me to think people would be so petty to steal such a small sum of money.

Being new here I don't really have a vote, but I would suggest creating a group on steam for steamgifts giveaways. When you create a giveaway you can select it as being available only to the members of that group.
Private or group giveaways are good idea, I myself prefer them as you can state your own rules in them like "you have to be a member of the forum to receive the game".

I don't know if you can call it scammed. It is against the rules, but that guy did win the raffle. Could probably have contested it though.
EDIT: If he's changing his name constantly, he may be a scammer after all. Can you see the name of the person that won the raffle and compare it to the name in your gifts list? Both names should update in tandem if it is him since they both use the steam profile directly for all information.

No, you can be banned for asking for your game on Steam. I've seen that already. The only proper way is to get your prize by email provided.
He was scammed because he sent the game to someone who pretended to be the winner.
Edit. Your nick on Steamgifts is not tied to your nick on Steam.
I will probably stick to facepunch only draws now though, i only ever really did do that, with the seasonal sales id find someone who wanted something i felt like gifting and send them it, but this would be a much easier, and fairer system
When someone wins it gives a email, just send it there. Alternatively you can click the winner and go to his profile and add him. Why people do it differently is beyond me. However, skellyhell don't get thrown to the side because of a couple losers. I'd be glad to join a group if you made one for more private giveaways just make sure it's invite only, it's simple enough yet fool proof to cut the weeds.

Facepunch does have a steamgroup... just saying
Facepunch does have a steamgroup... just saying
Yea, 22,000 people can now see it that's perfectly private.
I tried to join the site, I'm $0.03 short. I hate the whole 99 cent practice. Its only so people think its cheaper, I always see it as $20 instead of $19.99. All I wanted was X3: Terran Conflict.

Not solved, I have no credit card. I have access to only every once in a while, I only got my games every 6 months or so. Hence why I want it, badly. *claws screen at DoD:S*

Oh, sorry man. I assume too much and it gets me in trouble.

Your account has been verified, with 12 games, valued at $69.96.
Thanks to Skellyhell for the gifts(emphasis on the s), the $0.75 game failed. And I can't find out how to get more points. Used *something bleeped by Facepunch* before, feeling like a retard for not finding where it is. Thanks.

Yeah that's what happens when there are so many people on the site now that no giveaway has less than 800 entries.
It's only going to get worse as people keep throwing out invites.

What I've been saying all along. Go with known members and/or PMs. Spamming invites only worsens the site, your chances, and the likelihood that the person who wins will actually be grateful.
I only give out invites if I have any points left over after choosing all the games.
