slot machines are tweaked in that they're supposed to get as much money from you as they can. poker is all about statistics and counting your cards.

If you want to play the probability game then here we go. An average giveaway has 800 entries meaning that you have a 1 in 800 chance of winning, or in other words mathematically you have to enter 800 average giveaways before you win.
This of course is on paper and in real life someone will get lucky on his first entry and you just have to deal with it.
