I have a new fortress going on and I started making war hammers and a stack of bolts till I hit another copper vain

My fort got overrun by orcs and their orc elite bowmen machine gunner

I always thought that dwarves will tantrum before going berserk. At least the dwarf in question in my (then) 8 dwarf fort was already wounded, still managed to do some noticeable damage as he was a miner who tried his hand at hunting.

Oh fuck, I decided to delete my region folders and start fresh, made a new world, picked a starting place surprisingly quickly, made sure to bring a pair of cats and some plump spawn and everything. I embark and there's a metric fuckton of Kobold halfway across the map. Have I lost already? Also it's pretty interesting here. Lots of types of rock, a circular chasm, a big long gash-shaped chasm, a named cave, a river, new types of animal...

Bad choice starting in an enemy camp.

I just looked for a place with a river, a rocky triangle tile, and no aquifer. Probably a bad idea. Oh well it's not like they've all swarmed me. I just gotta make a dining room quick so nobody strays too near. All my miners have done in 15 minutes is 3 workshop rooms and a big warehouse rectangle.

The list is a bad idea, half the posts are just people asking to be on it. Remove it and maybe we'll get some conversation about the actual game.

I always wanted to play it and thanks to this thread I've got a tab with the download open. Will try it when I get time. If it's as hilarious as IVAN I'm sold.

Anyone knows when the next version is coming out? From the dev list, there's lots of juicy stuff to play with.
