I don't think you can get moods if you have under 7 dwarves. Read that somewhere on the bay12games forums, don't know if it's true or not.
Well if that's true then I'm really happy. I guess that's why you don't get moods at the start of the game. Would make a lot of sense.
The new burrows concept makes me hard and want to do naughty things. I hope the next major release comes relatively soon.
Aye, the next release is going to be the best since 3D.
So what's new then? All I know is the improved squad stuff.
Aye, the next release is going to be the best since 3D.
Where can I read about it please?

I thought Roll and Barrel were related, but not Megaman and Roll. MM was built like, thousands of years before Roll was born...IIRC. But I havent played Legends 2 in a loooooooong time. In the original MM series they are related. As close as two robots can be related.
I forgot how to disable barrels in food stockpiles so I can save them for booze, someone know how?
I forgot how to disable barrels in food stockpiles so I can save them for booze, someone know how?
[q] -> Go over food stockpile -> [s] (I think it's [s]. It's the one that changes the settings) -> Change it as you would in a custom stockpile.
[q] -> Go over food stockpile -> [s] (I think it's [s]. It's the one that changes the settings) -> Change it as you would in a custom stockpile.
That's what I've done, but barrels aren't listed among the allowed items, only thing I can find that doesn't seem to be related to food is the option 'allow non-plant/animal', is that the one I need to disable?
Barrels are under Furniture.
The entire furniture list is disabled by default.
You change the number of barrels/bins by using q, put the cursor over the stockpile and press +/- and *,/
Are the magma sources visible like the river ones? I can't find one.
Are the magma sources visible like the river ones? I can't find one.
Nope. A volcano you can see on the world map, but for pipes or pools you'll need reveal.exe or something. (You could also download a pre-made map with a known magma location)
Once I embark to a site with magma (or other features) that was found with the built in site finder, I like to use a bug in the game to find map features. How to use the bug. (hidden for those who don't want to know) [sp]The bug is with the deport (must be placed, does not have to be built, but it can be). The trick works best before the fort reaches the lower levels. All you do is start building a depot then press 'D' to view deport access. Look at the levels below the fortress and you will notice that almost all of the map is flashing red but the area with feature are the normal black of hidden terrain. Mine out the suspect area to find the feature. you can also use this trick to gauge the depth of the feature as the area below the feature will show up red.[/sp]
How do I wrestle effectively in adventure mode? I can grab limbs and stuff but I don't know how to throw down or go to a lock and stuff.
Never even tried adventure mode, any good?
How do I wrestle effectively in adventure mode? Also there are factors that limit moods which make them impossible in a hermit challenge. Adventure mode is pretty good. It's nowhere near as good as fortress mode though(in my opinion). It's a pretty good timewaster. The only big problem is that I find the lack of things to do rather boring, though some may like going in to legends mode and looking at which goblin/elven/human settlement destroyed your beautiful fortress and go whoop their asses after going to your fortress to pick up the legendary artifact swords that one of your dwarfs made in fortress mode.
I decided to cave in my dining hall. Built a space under it, dug a channel around the wall apart from 1 square, mined that square and boom, down it goes. The dwarfs were confused, then got back up and started to move all the furniture back to the stockpiles. Always working.
Hell yeah aquaduct
I'm going to make a land battleship, I've already made the floorplans. 80 tiles long, 7 z-levels high, and it can hold 100+ dwarves. Going to have to find the PERFECT spot to embark though. (it's probably going to end horribly somehow)
Bah, I'm trying to find a lake or a site next to the ocean with a magma pipe. So far it is IMPOSSIBLE.
Volcanic island? Just look around in the ocean and you might see one. Vulcano right next to sea.
So my bridge setup is like this.
|[====][====][====][====]| 1 2 3 4
Bridge 1 - Raises to the left Bridge 2 - Retracts Bridge 3 - Retracts Bridge 4 - Raises to the right I know Bridge 1 and 2 will collapse unless I do something. If a build a wall lining against the bridges, will that keep them from collapsing?
Are there any disadvantages to playing with tilesets?

I can just imagine all the dwarves shouting and falling for a second, then the lead dwarf shouting, "Alright, we have alot of furniture to haul!" and all the crippled dwarves crawling to the stockpile.
Are there any disadvantages to playing with tilesets?
Gameplay wise, no. It just looks different.
Are there any disadvantages to playing with tilesets?
Not understanding other people's screenshots completely. You will understand them a bit, but not all the way..
