Wow this went down the shitter really fast.
Like most of us said. These facepunch group things never work. The worst part is, theres one for every game someone comes up with.
Atleast release the Facepunch Weapon on the Nexus and put the hot-wet dream guy on the strip
If you still need voice actors for relatively young characters by the end of next week, I'll be glad to.
wow if you guys want to make a real cool mod (one not based on fp) give me 4 days to work up a plan and story and concept ill get a ball rolling i am the self proclaimed king of good ideas after all
This. Making it based on FP simply sound terrible. I don't want to be wandering around meeting people with FP names. Its feels strange. The only mod on facepunch that seems to work is the one made by the moderators.
We are working on it. So leave us the fuck alone.
I'm sorry but count me out. I thought this mod was well planned and organized, but from the chat, this thread and the general direction this is taking, it seems to be ideas based, not grounded to reality. Firstly, there's almost no structured planning whatsoever (I mean the chat derailed every minute), way unorganized (Jesus you had to ASK people to make notes), most of you seem way unaware how taxing making a community city will be (I failed with a bloody building), and most of your volunteers are voice actors, ideas guys, and pretty much, I'm sad to say it, useless at this stage of production. You'd do well to listen to the others and release to concept AFTER a structure and direction has been established, or this will never see light of day. To those who contributed well, (New Facepuncher) I congratulate you, but in general this mod is pretty much a concoct of ideas and hopes. So, I wish you luck to your work, but you'd need serious revamp of your progress to succeed. [editline]28th October 2010[/editline] That felt like an essay.
Yeah, count me out as well.
count me in!
I suppose you guys can use the same organisation as many mods for GTA had. The new map is seperated in lods. Everyone can ask to model what`s inside a lod, giving a basic overview of his plan to the main organisator. This doesn`t organize the voice actors and weapon models and whatnot but atleast it`s a easy way to organise the basics in a mess like this.
Look, if there will be a chat again today, then do something. Watching you consume softdrinks and snacks as if there is no tomorrow is nothing more but entertaining and won't help us with our problem. I'd like to know how many mappers we actually have on the project, because the map is the basis for everything else. "Hey guys, lets hire 50 voice actors to put npcs in a town we don't even have yet."

Another table.
Sorry but, I'm out. This isn't organized enough and I really don't see this going anywhere.
Well this was shortlived.
It's funny how quick this fell apart. Really shows incompetence on the leader's part, especially considering a mod like this would have been easy enough for a single person, let alone an entire group.
The facepunch war mod got pretty far before novangel gave up do to the lack of interest. And that was the fault of whatever mod hid the fallout subforum. Edit: Novangel fuck this mod make your own casino.
Well this was shortlived.
such is the standard for an fp related mod
such is the standard for an fp related mod
No man. Remeber the User War Mod? [editline]28th October 2010[/editline] http://fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3688
AWSOME btw TRY GET GARRY
So, this fell apart in ~24 hours? Did not mean to distact with my sisters hot ass. Would have been nice if this had happened though.
This is the longest I've seen a mod stay in the idea phase.
Idea phase is still better than ideas guy!
I've done some mapping in the GECK (mainly tutorial stuff), and I've got some general knowledge about it. I could make custom npc's ordered by facepunchers. Or anything else you would want me do.
I think it was concluded that this mod was easily do-able, but the OP bailed out before it went into anything serious.
Damn, I thought this had potential. It's a shame this isn't gunna work out.
If you need voices I can do a voice [editline]28th October 2010[/editline] nvm read above

I'd really see this work also. Someday, someone will make a structured plan for this.
However much this went down the tube, It still sparked the creative bit of my head. As such I'm working on something and gave it a bit of a plan. Bit of a fast track mod process but I'll see how it goes. *WARNING HUGE IMAGE* [IMG_thumb]http://filesmelt.com/dl/Project_Pic_1.bmp[/IMG_thumb] ALSO HUGE And I'm not shy about how much time per week this will take into account - Including a full life cycle management process!
