Gah I downloaded the trial and it can't install because dfdata_0000 was corrupt. Going to try and delete and redownload it now and hopefully that works. The direct download is only for the US client and I don't really want to get the US client.

Screw this. I payed a euro for the trial and it won't let me log on.

Terrible game. Full of glitches, takes for-fucking-ever to kill anyone at high levels, is a big grindfest, enormously unoptimized. Not worth anything, let alone 15 dollars a month. Suck my dick, Darkfall.

This game is like if you took Planetside, applied somehow even worse graphics, made it require a MUCH better computer, put it in a new era, encourage ruining others' times, and gave everyone near-infinite health.

The PvE was terrible, they didn't even try to make it interesting. Grind, grind, grind some more. PVP is even worse, promoting people who spend all day on the game maxxing every skill to just tank all damage and dole out massive damage in return. shitty game, nothing to it

The reason I told you stop posting is because we've had these people before who continue to shit on the thread saying how bad it is with flawed arguments. I guess you really can't judge it now that you havn't tried it since the last 2 expansions.

They'll just run if that happens. All things said, even if you do a well-thought out attack they can always turn coat, mount up, and leave.

It's not hard to kill mount's especially when they got their back turned.

I'd like to retract my statement saying this game sucks... Now that I don't have a ping of 300 due to European servers and a full years worth of updates, the game is amazing.

The retail servers went down the toilet. 300 ping, the game ran worse overall and the community wasn't that great, not to mention the horrible launch where you had to literally create a refresh macro that way you could purchase the game itself. But that's all past everyone and a year later, I am a proud Darkfall player.

At least in Darkfall skill counts for some of the game. If you want to avoid grind in games, play non RPG games. If you want to avoid people being better than you play single player. Jesus it's not fucking rocket science. There are simple solutions to every problem you list. They're better than you? Then fucking get better yourself. It's not hard at all to level your skills up. I've already got 70 Lesser Magic, 40 Archery, 35 Greater Magic, and like 15 Witchcraft in 3 days of moderate playing. It was not hard at all. Just fucking grab a staff or a sword or a bow and KILL SHIT. Goblins die really easily so you can get your skills on those. As far as PvP goes, they're better than you. Big deal. The world isn't going to end because someone can kill you. Gear up again and get back out there to kill more shit. They're using a shield? Use magic! They're running? Shoot them in the fucking back! Are they on their mount? Why the hell aren't you?
