PS3 owners commenting on Portal 2

I use an Xbox 360 Controller, since a lot of PC games have native support for it these days.

As for the TF2 config, I mainly just use the default layout except with a few buttons changed, like the shoulder buttons (not the triggers) changed to be 180-spin and microphone toggle while the start button is changed to lastdisguise. For loadout changing, I simply have the right-click on my mouse bound to open the loadout, so I just reach over to the mouse to change it. Valve never bothered to code controller support into any newer menus, so the mouse is currently the only way to navigate the loadout.

Shell out? PC's work out cheaper in the long run for gaming if you're sensible and take the time to research for a short while, it is just a bigger initial investment because you [B]purchase[/B] the hardware rather than opt in to a [B]subsidiary[/B] fee scheme that you pay money towards whenever you purchase a new game.

Also you have to consider that pretty much everyone including console gamers have a PC that they use for browsing and IM'ing and other basic tasks. This also has to be added to the price of purchasing a console and the subsidiary and taken away from the PC route total.

I've mentioned this a lot lately on here, nobody seems to take any notice...

Actaully macs can, as long as it has a decent graphics card. (most do thoguh) for 40 bucks you can run PC apps on a mac. Or if they have a copy of their windows Xp disc, they can install Window Xp or vista on their mac. :D

I don't see how you play portal on a console. The camera movement for the console is much slower then that on a PC, and in some puzzles you need to move the camera VERY fast to aim at a wall or something.

Honestly, if valvE say that they find the PS3 too hard to develop for - then I've got no reason to argue with them. They're not obliged produce multi-platform games in the slightest; they are primarily a PC-orientated developer.

I played it on Xbox. Once you adapt to that though you're pro once you finally start using a mouse.
