Fucking morons shouldn't have publicized it until it was released.
That would be the worst thing to do. You need to get hype otherwise nobody knows what the fuck it is when it comes out and nobody gives a shit
That would be the worst thing to do. You need to get hype otherwise nobody knows what the fuck it is when it comes out and nobody gives a shit
And then nintendo happily go along and stop you from finishing.
You don't have to. It's free.
I know I said that I would pay for this.
That would be the worst thing to do. You need to get hype otherwise nobody knows what the fuck it is when it comes out and nobody gives a shit
Explain why they wouldn't give a shit?
Explain why they wouldn't give a shit?
Because if they didn't promote it, chances are they didn't feel it was good enough or didn't have the money to do so. Would you really care about a game that's basically a knockoff of an older franchise that wasn't good enough to be shown and was made by people who couldn't afford to advertise for it? You NEED to advertise a product, no matter what it is, otherwise nobody knows about it and things like that are assumed.
*hopes to god that it supports joysticks*

At the end of the day, big projects like these are a labour of love. You don't spend months (or more often years) of your spare time producing something like this for the purposes of garnering a fanbase, you do it because you enjoy it. 'Advertising' is by far the lowest priority of them all. You're not gaining anything by it, so why is it so important? Sure it's nice to have people playing your games, but that doesn't mean shit if you're too busy trying to roll on a hypewagon to actually do some developing.
I doubt my laptop will be able to run it.. :sigh:
Oh shit I love the shadows of the ice
Ice looks a bit like it was was just reflected. But it still looks :fappery:
considering this runs on the freespace engine, it looks very nice. i'm looking forward to it.
Have nintendo even released anything for the wii that wasn't mario? Where's my wii star fox, my wii yoshi's island and my wii donkey kong?
This looks excellent. I love the Freespace engine.
Have nintendo even released anything for the wii that wasn't mario? Where's my wii star fox, my wii yoshi's island and my wii donkey kong?
forgotten heroes :crying:
The trailer had some pretty goofy captions; "6 years of development time" That's not something you brag about "This does not represent the quality of the final product" What the hell, why are you showing a us a promotional video and telling us it took you 6 years and then saying that it might not be that good right now? "The classical shoot-em-up is back" uhhhh "Huge enemies" ok......... [editline]08:04AM[/editline] Also, I loved all three, especially adventure.
forgotten heroes :crying:
star fox has been lost to the furries :crying:

It shows dedication and a lot of it. This isn't a commercial product, it doesn't have deadlines and budgets. It doesn't represent the final quality of the product, because it isn't the final product. It might get better in various respects....
That looks fucking amazing!
I also kind of hope they don't gay it up with newer-gen characters, but just keep it to the original crew of 4, maybe Kat and Bill. Well... Really the characters don't matter a hell of a lot as long as the action is as good as the first couple Star Fox games. [editline]03:07AM[/editline] From their FAQ: Will we see Andross? No. Next question. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
It takes place before Adventure I think, so probably no Krystal. I kind of liked Adventure. It was an interesting idea. As for Assault, I loved that game. It was the perfect blend of land and air combat, even if it was pretty short. The mulitplayer kicked ass, I would sit on my friend's Arwing and shoot people.
Starfox isn't being made anymore by the people because it was furry or something. Might just be stupid rumours, but no more none-fanmade starfox since furries crawled all over it. There is an article somewhere. [editline]07:16PM[/editline]
It takes place before Adventure I think, so probably no Krystal. I kind of liked Adventure.
star fox has been lost to the furries :crying:
The story is my biggest concern for this game. Because I don't want it to be another furry drama like all the previous games after 64.
Guys this is YEARS old. The same content too, not saying it won't come out but nothing new has been posted in like years. I wouldn't get all excited and looking forward to it if I were you.
Guys this is YEARS old. The same content too, it's not coming out. I remember being all excited about it like 5 years ago then realized that it was a joke.
:downs:

DO A CEASE AND DESIST...ROLL! :sigh:
I'm gonna go play Star Fox 64 now...
Oh please let this survive, please, please, PLEASE! It looks so fuckadiddelidoo awesome. [editline]11:08PM[/editline]
I'm gonna go play Star Fox 64 now...
Sounds like a plan :buddy:
I came. I stopped breathing for a couple seconds, and then I came. THIS IS AWESOME. As for the naysayers, Nintendo can't really do anything unless the guys making it are selling it for a profit, which they are not doing for that very reason.
lol what if it ran off the source engine? lol that would RAWK no way a lawsuit then. once valve gets hold of something it seems like its safe forever

But I have nothing against the game or it's developers, that's why I said they were "goofy" and not something negative like "retarded". And my point was that they were self deprecating their product. It's like; "hey HEY! Looky here at this awesome thing we made!" "Also in case you don't think it's awesome, we are going to cover our bases and say WIP" All I'm saying is if you are comfortable showing off something, then don't show it off. I mostly found it odd, because I didn't see anything terribly wrong with what they showed us in the first place.
