I'll be Azure505 (I use this name for everything). Edit: Agh, how do you talk? Nevermind, got it.
Okay, but just so you don't come expecting anything amazing, the place has no gameplay at all yet. Just a few scripts for doors and teleporters, etc.
I love to grief in this game and see those nine years old furiats :)
I love to grief in this game and see those nine years old furiats :)
I know the feeling, I used to exploit this game pretty badly. I had stolen most of the places, and caused havok through editing other places in online mode. Now I help the communtiy more than anything though.
I'm now at home and having to redownload on my shite connection (20kb/s, joy.) On the plus side, I'm sure a 8800 GTS will give me more than low settings. My favourite modes so far: Capture the flag on two passenger jets, Some sort of race and a Cops and Robbers style thing. In some weird sword fighting hostage rescue thing I was pissing myself when some little kid was screaming about reporting everybody on the blue team for killing him. He was on the red team.
Jesus christ, people think Roblox is so much better because it's free. Perhaps if you actually played Blockland properly, and didn't judge it by the demo (which is still better than Roblox) you'd see that it truly is The Better Game. (10 points for whoever gets that reference. :3:)

Downloading now.. Hopefully it will be good.
So am i. We should cooperate on making a whole town!
Tried it once, got banned from three servers for saying "stupid" "no cussing lol" Play blockland instead. "but that costs monies lols" $20 once. No monthly fees.
Yes, I know there have been past threads on ROBLOX, however they were either lacking in content, or dead. Anyways, ROBLOX is a 'sandbox' game, made completely of lego like bricks, which has grown almost exponentially over the past year. It is a game very much like Gmod, with elements of Second Life or Blockland mixed in. Essentially, each player is given a place, which is their own server in which they can do anything they wish in. You could build a town, complete with ai scripted by you, construct an accurate WWII Battlefield, or even build your own RPG, the possiblities are endless. The game also includes combat, which is different in every server you join. In one it may be a turn-based RPG-like fight system, while in another it may be a third person shooter. Once again, anything is possible. The game is run almost completely on the creativity of its users. It has no levels, no set-rules, and most importantly, no limitations. If you can script it, or if you can build it, you can make it. The engine also includes a very robust Lua library. Whether you have never scripted in Lua before, or you are a Lua genius, you will be able to script in Roblox in no time. Unless specifically stated, all creations are open-source, and as such prove to be valuable examples when learning to script. I Myself had never scripted before joining this game, and after a few days, had grasped the basics. Now I am regarded as one of the top people to see for scripting help. The game also rewards places who create unique places, with money gained for everry person that visits their server. This money can be used to purchase the creations of other players, or official hats released by the ROBLOX admins. In addition, the engine features an amazing physics library. You are able to build the house of your dreams, only to pull apart vital support beams and watch the whole thing collapse. While I understand that the community of this game is not the greatest, the sheer awsomeness of the game makes up for it, and this alone has kept me busy over the past year, the longest I've ever played a game. The game is also played actively by a few other Facepunch members, namely Officer Tom, and SK Paragon. There is also a Facepunch member whom is a moderator for this game, however I will not release his name. Anyways, I would highly recommend that you give the game a shot, if you look past the community, and actually try the game, I can guarantee that you WILL love it! In-game I go by the name of Aeacus.
That last screenshot you posted is NOT from Roblox. That is definitely a blockland screenshot.
Just tried it, did not have much fun, so I do not really like it..
-snip for error-
How do you add friends? My name is Apegrape..
Tried it once, got banned from three servers for saying "stupid" "no cussing lol" Play blockland instead. "but that costs monies lols" $20 once. No monthly fees.
Give me a tenner and I'll buy it.
My comp can run Crysis on high but runs Roblox like a slideshow. I'll stick to Blockland due the the fact the community isn't a bunch of douche bags.
I'm persuading lemming77 to play with me :D Also, Pekey...? Aren't you... :uhoh: :s
I didn't like it much... It could be a lot of fun, but the controls and piss poor performance I get in it ruins it for me, and my computer's far from a slouch.

woo, thank god for XP
I tried roblox and I was like " emm , what the fork " Seriously , nothing was intuitive. It made no sense whatsoever. But blockland has a tutorial and stuff. But the Con about blockland is that it lacks physics , Unlike Roblox , which does. Or somebody could make a physics mod for it . I don't know...
We could all just play garrys mod :v:
Bah, can't join any game. When I click the "Visit Online" button it just gives the internet explorer script error. Nothing happens when I press yes.
That last screenshot you posted is NOT from Roblox. That is definitely a blockland screenshot.
How about not, http://www.roblox.com/Item.aspx?ID=1863235
hahaha same as what i just said to the other guy except you a bit nicer but that doesn't really matter.
You wouldn't expect a sixty-one year old to say something like that. Lack of puberty is obvious. Okay, on topic now. The game is ridiculously laggy and unoptimised. Also, the installer is bullshit. You can't even fucking choose where to install the game! Although it might be worth another try when I'm no longer shaped. Edit: I forgot something, this game has sound effects that you would expect to hear in hell.
Yeah but it costs money.
I bet you still play gmod 9.
True cool guy ( Who certainly Isn't ) is definiately some arse from the roblox forums. If you can tell by , well , everything about him is just completely something a 10 year old would say. Hey kid , Look , SHIT. I'm in trouble. ANYWAY : IF roblox was more intuitive and there were sites with information about the lua scripts I might play it , But until that time , You won't catch me playing it. Blockland for me until then.
I bet you still play gmod 9.
No, my mum bought me GMod retail on January 1st 2007. I didn't actually pay for it. I would still have bought it because I knew I would play it.
