I set up a paintball server :v: http://www.roblox.com/Item.aspx?ID=93441
I'm trying to make a game mode... But I'm looking for scripts, which I don't know where to find. I need something to unanchor the jet when somebody sits in a chair or maybe says a trigger like 'fall' or 'crash', and also cause an explosion in a certain place. I've seen it done in another mode, but the server's closing and I'm trying to do it in another way. Also a script to reset the plane model would be nice... When somebody presses a button or says 'regen' or something http://www.roblox.com/User.aspx?ID=429815
Apparently, I still have this game installed in my computer. I'll see if I can join you guys.
So I've been playing this for an hour or so. This place is genuinely infested with under 13 year olds. I mean, the tickbox is there for a reason. So, in theory, it's alright, but as soon as you take it online, there are whiny little kids everywhere. Though, in fairness, it's amusing to tick them off, if only to get a flood of 'I'm reporting you!' in all it's poorly spelled and semi-capitalised variations. I guess I'll go back to building instead.
*High Ground Halo Lego Picture*
So in ROBLOX you can make High Ground on Halo and Blow it up? Cool.
So in ROBLOX you can make High Ground on Halo and Blow it up? Cool.
Yep :) Until recently, one user had recreated many aspects of Halo 3. You could fly banshees, drive mongooses, warthogs, ghosts, etc, use all the weaponry, and even wear replicas of the Spartan Armor. He also created copies of about 4 Halo 3 maps, all of which almost identical to the original. However he recently replaced all of these places with a new series of place he is making.
Holy crap, thanks OP.
No problem :) I'm glad you like the game. If you want to send a friend request, you can find me here; http://www.roblox.com/User.aspx?ID=128635
The sluggishness of the interface makes it unplayable for me.
Well, I am not creating a scripting lab that is roughly based off of Resident Evil's "Hive" You can find the start of it here; http://www.roblox.com/Item.aspx?ID=371783
Woah...Nice lab
Well it worked, then it didn't. I don't mind though, the interface was sluggish and it was hard to select certain blocks. Also I was annoyed that there was no server list and all servers have to be entered through an internet browser.
This game rocks :D I have been playing it for 6 months and still don't know how to lua script :/
Gah, i want to build something but I'm such a noob, anyone want to help me?
To build make sure you use Roblox Studio, not the ingame interface. Just go to all programs in your start panel, and select Roblox Studio, then hit New at the top. It is much easier to build from here, than it is to try ingame.

Yay! It's free now
This can't be good, I saw it on a Newgrounds ad. I'm just kidding, don't go apeshit on me.
Yeah , question about the studio. 2 things : Are motors controlled by Lua or by like certain bricks with buttons or triggered by weight or something? And : How do you place a starting brick? My guy just falls through the floor...
Yeah , question about the studio. 2 things : Are motors controlled by Lua or by like certain bricks with buttons or triggered by weight or something? And : How do you place a starting brick? My guy just falls through the floor...
For your first question, there are two types of motors. The scripted version, and the physical version. To use the physical one, which is much easier for beginners, simply add the motor to a brick, then find surface inputs in the properties panel. Figure out which side the motor is on, then change the input type to constant. The value will then affect the speed. As for placing bricks, there is again, two ways. The first of which is going to Toolbox at the top, and clicking on a brick. Then set its anchored status to true in properties so it doesn't fall. The other way is deprecated however, so focus on the toolbox for now.
... What were you doing on Newgrounds?
Is it abnormal? :raise:
Also whats up with this massive lag that I'm getting. I have a beast of a computer so shut up.
Yeah but it costs money.
The best things in life aren't always free. Even though the $20 price tag is ridiculous.
Also whats up with this massive lag that I'm getting. I have a beast of a computer so shut up.
If you are lagging, chances are it is the place. It may be using hundreds of inefficient scripts that are eating up your RAM. I have a four year old computer, and only lag in places with around 20 players.
I kind of want to play this but the fact there isn't just a "Hey, click me to start the download" link annoys me. (I'm on linux, not windows. The activex controls don't work because that's Microsoft's stuffs.) (That's beside the fact ActiveX is the devil in software form)
Eh, help someone, when I try to enter a world or whatever, it sends me straight to the download screen, even though I already downloaded it
Go look somewhere else for your lazy-linkies. We dispose of them with fire and holy water here!
Go look somewhere else for your lazy-linkies. We dispose of them with fire and holy water here!
I hope you're not talking to me. If you are, you're pretty :downs:. ActiveX is awful, and it's not "lazy" - it's smart. Using an actual download link instead of ActiveX would be a lot better.

However I believe you need activex to play the game, so I don't think it will work once downloaded.
