I remember I used to hang out at this gaming cafe thing we have here and there was this guy who ran the tourney board for melee, I mean he was unbeatable and always used Falco. Well, the first time I showed up and got the confidence to enter the tourney with no prior knowledge to who he was I got whomped in the first round 'cause I was trying to out-speed him and dodge everything. Unfortunately Marth < Falco at the time so I got back in by winning a round vs a CP. I pulled my trump card on this guy, the character I'd been maining with ever since I first got the game and unlocked it. This guy could not hit a Jigglypuff for anything. Float like a butterfly, sleep like a boss.
That so? I thought people loved Toon Link, that reachy bastard.
If you can anticipate moves well you can outplay anybody with Ike, his attacks are slow to start up but hits like a truck, and of course holding a two-handed sword in only one hand gives a stupid amount of reach.
Should i edit my Opening post to add everybodys friend codes for brawls?
Dat nostalgia.
If anyone wants to add me on SSBB, here's my friend code: 4210-5238-1216 Oh, and here's my Wii friend code, in case anyone wants to add me: 4468-4325-8293-7318

I usually play Melee twice a week at my church (of all places :v:). Nobody there can beat me when I play as Ganondorf. He was hilariously overpowered in Melee. Bowser is probably my worst character. He's just too slow. My second worst is probably Samus, somewhat surprisingly. Her up smash and forward air attacks were too weak for my taste. Otherwise, I can play any other character reasonably well. Imo, Brawl's Subspace Emissary was pretty poorly done, especially while playing with two players. The camera is zoomed in on player one so much that if he/she is running and changes directions, the second player usually doesn't have enough time to react before ending up off the screen and taking a point or two of damage. Also, anyone remember these guys?: If you were unlucky enough to get two or three of them on you, you'd get an all-expenses-paid trip to frustration city (and 250% damage), followed by a very short-lived journey to off the edge of the screen. I was quite disappointed with Brawl. It didn't live up to what I was expecting. Of course, this is probably because I over-hyped it. But the two things I miss the most are the after-the-level bonuses and Mewtwo (mostly because I was hoping to perform the "soul breaker" glitch in Brawl). Speaking of glitches, the SSB games always had some really epic ones, like the black hole glitch mentioned earlier in this thread, and the "soul breaker glitch" (along with its sister glitch, the "soul stunner") which I just mentioned last paragraph.: I got around 170 coins or so, if I recall correctly, for using the soul stunner glitch to perform an "infinite" combo (>17,000 consecutive hits, according to the character selection screen), which was the main reason I wanted to perform the glitch in Brawl. But in Brawl, you no longer get coins for performing large combos in training mode, so it would have been useless anyway. So, anyone have any good tips on playing as Bowser in Melee?

I played melee a lot when I was younger and I would make up "stories" to go with the map I was currently playing on. Like I'd play as Fox on the Starfox ship and act like I was defending Corneria from a Samus invasion.
Spam up + B and down + B with Kirby Win every match

In Brawl, I would do stuff like have Lucas as a Pokemon Trainer and his Pikachu vs. Gym Leader Ness and his Lucario. Fun stuff, really.

Guess who's my favorite
Guess who's my favorite
That Ain't Falco!
Guess who's my favorite
Pichu
Guess who's my favorite
Personally, I prefer the air.
Personally, I prefer the air.
I guess I should be thankful.
My brother and I played a match where we could only use Captain Falcon and the only move we could use was the falcon punch.
My brother and I played a match where we could only use Captain Falcon and the only move we could use was the falcon punch.
When I was bored in 4-player matches I would just spam falcon punches and forward air. Sometimes I would win.
isai's falcon aint notin to fuck wit
When I was a kid, I used to use the N64 Super Smash Bros. as a way to settle arguments and bet shit. I won Pokemon Red & Blue from an 8th grader when I was in 3rd grade :v:
Super Smash Bros: Melee resulted in so many fights for me when I was little :v: Although I would usually play with one friend and go up against two high level NPCs
Corneria is the best stage
Corneria is the stage
I never liked Coronia. Either go Final Destination if you want a flat, normal stage or something fun if you want that.
Final Destination is boring
Debug mode using Action Replay for Melee was the best thing ever. Its just sad theres no way to recover the data of the Fire Emblem stage in Melee. Also you can spawn all the enemies and play the Adventure mode stages in multiplayer, but it crashes the game most of the time, like the first Mushroom Kingdom Adventure stage.
I found back my old Gamecube. I didn't find SSB Melee. :saddowns: Did find back most other games. Played Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess all night.
100% in subspace. Fuck yeah. Also, they took out Pokefloats in brawl. I fucking loved that stage.
Final Destination is boring
FINALLY! Someone who agrees!
