Fun Fact: in Japanese tournaments, all stages are banned in the original Super Smash Bros. except for Dream Land.
Oh, Japan, always throwing odd twists to mundane things.
Super Smash Bros is only fun with items.
Nothing funnier then throwing a Bomb-Omb at someone.
I don't really like playing with items, most of the time
I don't really like playing with items, most of the time
Except for the Smash Ball.
Except for the Smash Ball.
That's the one item I leave off when I'm playing with items.
It can determine the outcome of the match, and the disparity between different characters' final smashes is too wide.
I just want fucking SSB4 to be announced.
now
I hope in the next game the characters will be faster and we won't have tripping. I was very disappointed with how slow and clumsy the characters felt in Brawl, the fights me and my friends used to have in Melee was much more intense. I always used to play with Yoshi in Melee, but he felt awfully nerfed in Brawl so I started playing with Ganon instead.
It's kinda sad that they can't get characters out of well-known Western franchises.

Yoshi did feel a little weaker, but he was always a boss in all games

It already has. They haven't started working on it, but it's announced.
I can't play sonic
it's just too boring
Well then, I guess you're too slow!

he's fast but it feels like he deals no damage
he's fast but it feels like he deals no damage
I hear his moves make for good mind games.
he's fast but it feels like he deals no damage
I just like using him with the Bunny Hood to outrun the cars on Big Blue.
I just like using him with the Bunny Hood to outrun the cars on Big Blue.
by doing that, Sonic ended up being my character with the most "self-destructs"
Basically sonic has two basic move types. Moves that involve dashing and moves that involve jumping. He also has the world worst final smash that for whatever reason lasts twice as long as everyone else's.

Define "worst," because it's ridiculously easy to get kills with that thing.
Pikachu's, on the otherhand...

I think he meant "worst" as "the most fucking annoying final smash in the game".
What about Pikachu's Volt Tackle? Its pretty similar
play against a CPU sonic, and there's no way you wont die once he uses his final smash
What about Pikachu's Volt Tackle? Its pretty similar
Vaguely. How it works is that Pikachu circles around an epicenter, and you control that epicenter, rather than Pikachu.
It's extremely unwieldy and isn't that powerful.
play against a CPU sonic, and there's no way you wont die once he uses his final smash
That's because the CPU's are comparatively fucking horrible.
Another thing I don't like about them is how if you make a battle royal with them (You vs. Cpu vs. Cpu vs Cpu), it's not a battle royal. It's a team battle, them against you.
They ignore each other, and go after you. Hell, sometimes they will literally do NOTHING and just wait for you to come back to fight you.
he's fast but it feels like he deals no damage
A lot this. He was slower (but not significantly), but a lot weaker.
When playing Melee I relied heavily on dash attacks and air attacks, in Brawl these attacks were much easier to predict and were much weaker.
They better not fucking remove R.O.B. in the next game.
R.O.B. is my fucking favorite
He's cool, but he's a major gimmick. So I would not be surprised if he was cut.
Then again, I would much rather have them keep Rob and cut some of the clone characters they can't be arsed to make new animations for.

Like who? Maybe remove Toon Link?
I hope they literally say "fuck it" and give all the clone characters a fully unique move set.
Ganondorf gets to use his sword, properly.
Luigi gets a unique moveset.
Etc, etc.
Like how they replaced Roy with Ike. Ike had a completely unique move-set, compared to Marth.
Like who? Maybe remove Toon Link?
Toon Link is one of my best characters, so I hope not.
isn't toon link exactly like link?
[editline]29th January 2012[/editline]
imo he could just go, I wouldn't care

Actually, I much prefer Toon Link to Link.
Link way too weak for his slow speed.
While Toon Link is a bit weaker, his agility and speed make up for it.
They should just, like, put in every character from every Smash Bros. game, and, you know, work to make them not clones.
Like who? Maybe remove Toon Link?
Characters like Falco, Wolf, Ganondorf, Toon Link and Luigi. Now I'm not saying all of them should be removed, but some of them should be removed, and the rest should have some overhauls to have more unique playstyles.
Luigi is the character that in itself is still the most unique consider that he still has some widely different attacks, animations, and his character jumps and falls completely different. The other characters however have rather copy-paste attacks with variations to the stats. Their play-styles are not at all very unique from what is already available.
[editline]29th January 2012[/editline]
Really, you guys only prefer Toon Link because his attacks has better stats than normal Link. Give those stats to normal Link and the problem is solved, Toon link won't be necessary.
After all he's not very unique of a character either way, he's just a toon version of another already existing character. Cool, but a gimmick.

They are terribly boring characters and should be removed unless they can't be turned into more unique characters.

How is Falco a clone? He is a bit like Fox, but even then he has a completely different play style, especially when he's being played competitively.
