Yeah, whenever I get it as Toon Link, I just use it immediately, even if I know it won't hit. It's only effective at high damage percents (at which point you could just use your smash moves to KO the opponent) and wasting it is better than letting someone like sonic use it.

Still builds up some good damage. I usually shit it off early if an enemy has a terrifying final smash, but I keep it if everyone else has bad ones.

If you're in a good place, you can get a KO at around 50%

I don't care I love him
I really like playing as Sonic. Partially because I'd wanted him in an SSB for a loooooong time, partially because I love how different he is from everyone else. You can practically fly with all his moves, and dash from one side of the stage to the other instantly, but his attacks are incredibly weak so it becomes a war of attrition.
I really enjoy how easy it is to fake people out too, you can feint one way and somersault over them before they even have a chance to react.
