It doesn't matter how good you are with a character, they will always have inherent weaknesses and strengths. This is somewhat what a tier list is about.
There is a reason two equally skilled players can be in a situation where one will win 99% of the time (ganon vs sheik or ICs). That's character difference.

IMO, Fox doesn't have any weaknesses. He can block ranged attacks/thrown items, he hits hard, he runs fast, he has a ranged attack, and his recovery move is fairly effective.

It's not just Marth that has an advantage over Ness. Both Ness and Lucas have an additional 10 or so frames of lag after a grab release that allow most character to do whatever they please, some can regrab.

Well some characters just aren't worth using if you're seriously trying to win. Ness is not one of those, but he's not your best bet of winning (coughmetaknight). Being mid tier, which Ness is, means that he's situational and not necessarily unusable.

Bleh, I don't believe in all that "Top-tier, Bottom-tier" stuff. I play as a character on how suited I am with them, not because everyone uses them.

I think they screwed up Mario's Down+B special by removing the Mario Tornado and replacing it with F.L.U.D.D. They could have at least made the F.L.U.D.D damage the enemy somehow, but all it does is push the enemy away.

I don't really give a damn. I use different characters for fun, not because of how strong they are.
I know characters have their own advantages and disadvantages and all, but I don't really care. I play a character because I'm used to that character, or it's cause I just like 'em.
