My first Raw Adamantine in a while, praise be to the miners!

My fisherdwarf was so scared of that capybara that he must have jumped in the river and drowned himself.

Any ideas as to why my axedwarf squad INSISTS on using crossbows without ammo when it's not even part of their uniform?

do any of them have ambushing labor ennabled?

None of the dwarves in that squad have any labor assigned to them, yet they all decided to pick up crossbows instead of battle axes when I sent them to battle. And yes, I checked their assigned uniforms several times, as well as which items were included in those uniforms. No crossbows mentioned anywhere.

You're doing something wrong, post the exact details of your uniforms, your current stockpiles and the soldier's preferences and so on.

I don't know what happened, I hadn't killed any of their merchants and they were pretty happy everytime they we traded. Could they just declare war for shits and giggles? Is it an other human faction attacking? I just can't wait until there is some basic diplomacy so I would at least know what the hell is going on... e: FFS, goblins decided to invade simultaneously. One group of hammermen, lead by an elite hammergoblin, one group of lashers and the nearby goblin civ's war leader riding a giant cave swallow. Nice.

I'm just chilling with my wounded buddies in a forest and take a nap, when suddenly, goblins! I kill one with another's corpse, and actually kill another with some blood. :wtc:

so I have a magma pit i've been using to eliminate unwanted items via dumping, however my dwarves wont dump any clothes items, which is a pain in the ass because the elves keep dropping their clothes everywhere when I murder them.

I think dwarves like to claim clothes as soon as they're available or something. or they just refuse to dump them. I don't know. Just trade them off.
