I dislike mandates in general, whenever my mayor does this I just shove him into the danger room and take all the military out to see how he likes it.
I just let them have an up-close encounter with the fascinating wonders of 7/7 water, I usually have it so that I start the pumps and it constantly crushes water down into grates soaking him constantly as he only has respite before getting it done again. Then I let the magma in :fuckyou:.
Oh ok I see. One last question, whats the difference between shallow metal and deep metal?
Does water travel through z levels like this: z-level 0 XW z-level 1 WX X=wall W= water Would it travel through level like that? Also why aren't the goblins drowning?
no it would not go diagonally across zlevels however on the same z level it can go diagonally
I love how cruel the hunters are. They go out, shoot an animal half to death, and then leave because they don't have anymore ammo. There's currently a yak with a broken spine and torn guts just bleeding out in the woods, legs broken too. [editline]17th April 2011[/editline] well, don't love it. but it's kinda funny.
Oh ok I see. One last question, whats the difference between shallow metal and deep metal?
Shallow metal means you'll find metals in the first z-layer half of the map, while deep metal means you'll find metals in the rest.
holy shit we went 6 hours without a post? we have issues up in this thread.
No, we just take things slow.
holy shit we went 6 hours without a post? we have issues up in this thread.
We don't post meaningless crap... Or rather we tend to stay on topic. On another note I just realized how worthwhile it is to make gold and other high value metal crafts.
how do i clean a map? I have way to much buzzard blood up on the surface.
i have 200 in pop and my fps is at 30 with weather and temperatures off and its becoming boring should i just restart?
how do i clean a map? I have way to much buzzard blood up on the surface.
Rain would be the fastest and easiest method.
easiest method is to download dfhack, theres a module that cleans up the map.
i have 200 in pop and my fps is at 30 with weather and temperatures off and its becoming boring should i just restart?
if you must, but take everyone and everything with you.
i have 200 in pop and my fps is at 30 with weather and temperatures off and its becoming boring should i just restart?
Cause the biggest tragedy in dwarven history!
Cause the biggest tragedy in dwarven history!
Run out of booze!
Obtain a megabeast or a forgotten beast. Get it in a cage. Then place that cage in your meeting area and hook up a lever to that cage. Make the meeting area a burrow and set all civilians to it and set your military to a burrow elsewhere. Look all the doors and pull the lever. If you have war dogs, assign them to the military so they don't hang around there. Lots of fun to be had.

HAHAHA wow a hunter repelled an ambush. He was out hunting, when all of the sudden I got the ambush message. They didn't notice him, but he must've detected them. After a few seconds he just started shooting at them. It was like 5 bowgoblins and one macegobbo. They all fired back, but only skimmed him once in the head, and once in the hand. He managed to get one in the chest that later bled to death as they ran away, and the macegobbo passed out from the pain and was wiped out by military. Was funny to see this hunter dodge the arrows/macegobbo attacking him and push them back all by himself. What a hero. ;_; [editline]17th April 2011[/editline] oh awesome. Soldier has a war bear. I took a grizzly from an elf caravan (after I had them all killed of course) and it was trained into a war animal. I didn't realize.
wooo tantrum spiral [editline]17th April 2011[/editline] sweet a dwarf bone pick
Had 2 dwarves and a few war dogs just suffocate. Got to look at the health of one of the dwarves before he died. Advanced brain rot. :( Probably from a forgotten beast snail thing with deadly blood that was fought earlier.

how do i cage a megabeast so i can unleash it on my poor dwarves? the titans megabeasts etc just run over all traps
how do i cage a megabeast so i can unleash it on my poor dwarves? the titans megabeasts etc just run over all traps
Don't think you can
it has to be stunned first, webs work, as do cave-in knockouts. [editline] [/editline] I thought of something that'd be pretty good for adventure mode: If an adventurer was deemed heroic enough perhaps a shine/memorial could be erected to them if they die, where they'd get entombed. would make raiding them fun, which would probably make you an enemy of every faction that liked that adventurer. engravings relating to the adventurer could be found there too.
Does anybody else get spammed to fuck and back with HUNTER COULD NOT FIND PATH whenever they open up a cavern?
I find myself tempted to make a type of wood toxic to elves. should I?
Well I had my fun. Biting works really well.
what symptoms should this wood have on elves? I was thinking necrosis of the immediate area, coupled with something else that is particularly nasty.
Could someone post a 31.25 embark where there is multiple shallow and deep metals and flux? I could try an aquifier, I've never had one :)
what symptoms should this wood have on elves? I was thinking necrosis of the immediate area, coupled with something else that is particularly nasty.
Give it a long lasting sickness with only long term effects, and force the elves to use it in weapons.
