I can't help but feel there should be a polar opposite god metal to go against Adamantine, [sp]and no, Slade doesn't count.[/sp] Perhaps a blood red metal found in small clusters within Adamantine tubes or in the semi-molten rock itself, that's corrupted with the essences of the demons which give it amazing blunt damage properties?

A god-tier blunt weapon metal would be totally unnecessary.
Speaking of Hell, I keep getting this idea of a more visceral Hell (possibly divided into levels as a nod to the Divine Comedy.) Imagine the Slade floor covered in "piles of filth" with rivers of blood and lakes of molten sulfur, pus oozing out of fleshy walls (that require an axe, not a pick, to get through) and yellow living bone providing the infrastructure for the entire thing. If so, the tantruming might be what's causing them to be unable to engrave.

But because we're talking about dorves, all should be well. Though one difference I would make is make the main dining room in the very middle, engrave it to the max. Happy dwarves + legendary dining hall!

You should be able to enchant weapons so your best warriors can hold lighting swords and shit.

I had an idea. Explosive arrows. Make gunpowder, make a bag and fill it with powder. Attach the bag to the arrow, launch it at shit and watch them explode.
