Too bad I don't have a dungeon master :v: I was thinking of putting them in the pit, yay or nay?
They come domesticated with the Elves, you don't need a Dungeon Master.
I cant leave the fucking 2nd dimension ( I cant build stairs up or down) What the fuck should i do I need underground farms for plumps but i cant grow then on this level (?)
They come domesticated with the Elves, you don't need a Dungeon Master.
I meant training them for war.
Can you build anything building destroyers can't destroy?

As for making stairs, you need to designate an up or up/down stair directly under a down stair. [editline]1st April 2011[/editline]
Can you build anything building destroyers can't destroy?
Anything out of the construction menu (b+C), most notably walls. Everything else is fair game, however. [editline]1st April 2011[/editline]
I meant training them for war.
Giant Desert Scorpions are one of the animals that can be tamed, but can't be trained for war or hunting. I'd recommend putting them in the pit so they can breed.
Thank god. Thanks!
Can you build anything building destroyers can't destroy?
depends on the type of building destroyer. the ones with the token set to 1 can only destroy certain things, like doors supports, that kind of thing. the ones with the token set to 2 will destroy anything and everything.
Neither of those can destroy walls.
I swear forgotten beasts/titans can.
Either way, I totally fucked up. I channeled down about 5 z levels, and barely channeled into the side of an exploratory shaft.... So if something survives that fall, its gonna lurch its broken self right into the undefended backside of my dwarven fortress. :ohdear:
I know i can switch with shift and > but i wont let me build stairs to go down, it did in my other games
Are you building the down stairs in an area that Dwarves can reach, such as directly under another down stair or somewhere else that's unreachable?

New version of balance mod. -Whips, arrows/bolts, punches/kicks fixed -Instead of one brain piece there's now an outer and inner brain, this reduces one-shot punch kills as the inner brain has to be damaged to kill. Damaged outer brain takes a long time to heal and causes constant vomiting. Skulls are a bit tougher to crack. -Goblins can use some bronze and steel for more Fun instead of boring copper all the time. -Kobolds don't go extinct every time in worldgen -You can now make leather gauntlets. It annoyed me so much that I couldn't make a full leather armor set until now. -Clothing doesn't wear out. This is to prevent late-game lag caused by tattered clothes http://horobox.co.uk/u/Orkel_1301750114.rar Gotta generate a new world for the changes to work. Overwrite the objects folder in data/raw. [editline]1st April 2011[/editline]
Heh.
g'day sir, it seems you're in need of this balance mod

I got someone into this now. He sat behind me in class and saw me toying around yesterday, and since he plays nethack/Dungeon Crawl, it was easy to convince him to give it a try. I hear he has 50+ cats.
http://df.magmawiki.com/index.php/Catsplosion
I told him about that. He claims his 3+ year old Alienware can handle it perfectly.
Already downloaded it. :buddy:
The old version didn't have the outer brain thingy though, so this is way better at stopping punchinstakills. [editline]1st April 2011[/editline] Oh right, the mod also makes clothing not wear out in use, because apparently worn out clothes cause massive lag lategame.
4 posts? :wtc:
Flooded everything trying to make some muddy floor, got fucked by trog things and a crocodile. God damn it.
Alright, since Im a fucking retard, is there ANY DF tutorial that is EASY to understand?
Alright, since Im a fucking retard, is there ANY DF tutorial that is EASY to understand?
utterly newbie tutorial or something. I used it to learn the game. Didn`t even read it all.

I miss the days of 40d Adventure Mode, for some reason the current system feels like a step back in some areas.
damn mods and their april fools day jokes
g'day sir, it seems you're in need of this balance mod
Why would anyone want to remove something as badass as that?
Finally! A beast that's not composed of some form of precipitation! I wonder if I can burn it? [editline]1st April 2011[/editline] Oh dammit. It may be inaccessible.
