I borrowed Theme Hospital from my first girlfriend but I accidentally scratched it. Come to think of it, we broke up pretty soon after and she never really said why...
You know what I think? I think she broke up with you because you scratched her copy of Theme Hospital.
This game always used to confuse me when I was a kid because I never knew there were places in the world where people had to pay hospitals

That's probably because you didn't know what insurance was at the time :v:
I found a working download of the full game, and have been playing it some, It definatly shows that the beta has a good ways to go to implement everything ELSE, but it seems to have everything for the basic play down enough that it works.

I'm mostly missing the edit room feature :saddowns:
Hell yeah! Theme Hospital rules. [editline]11:57PM[/editline] Fuck yeah, I found my disc
Oh god. I just tried this. Because everything is unlocked from the start I had to build really quickly, the doctors were whiney fucks and the hospital was Haemorrhaging money. -$20,000 in 10 minutes.
Day late, but whatever. I've been having fun with this too. For building quickly, there is currently a bug (or rather a feature :v:) in the port - you can carry on doing whatever while paused. So for that rush at the start, just hit P, and get your GP office and various diag/clinics built before anyone walks in the door! Yes, the doctors do whine a bit, but I can give you a couple of tips. First, there was a typo in one of the lua files in a section concerning staff asking for a pay raise. it amounts to them asking far more often than they should. Download the lua file from this commit ( http://code.google.com/p/corsix-th/source/detail?r=604 ) and overwrite your current one from the beta 2 installer. Also, the mood of the staff is currently completely dependant on their warmth. Build radiators, lots of them!
Fucking love this game. Played it so much when I was little. I think I still have the CD laying around somewhere.

Hop over to their chat on their site and see what you can string up to help them a bit :buddy: Maybe in the direction of re-editing finished rooms perhaps? >Hint hint<
I'm currently in the process of trying to track down a game breaking bug that happens at around the hour mark, where a patient will leave the GP's office, and their event queue is now empty for some reason. This causes a complete halt (a bit of assertion handling code kicks in), and if you choose recover, the game carries on but that patient is frozen in place forever. The problem is it will happen with increasing frequency from there onwards. I've not decided to post it as a defect yet in the hope that I can find a cause, or just reproduction steps/a savegame before it happens, anything that can help trace it down. Technical stuff above, unformatted as a block of :words: so most of you will skip over it. Go ahead and ignore.
I've been playing this for a while. It's quite enjoyable.
