Tony Hawk: Shread sells 3000 units in first week, franchise continues to rot and fester

They would of sold more copy's if they just re released the Tony Hawks games. I am waiting for them to do that, I would definitely re-buy them.
This series got shit the moment Bam Margera showed up.
Well, Underground wasn't bad but Underground 2 was fucking awful.
Tony Hawk American Wasteland was one of the best ones i have played.
Just riding ontop of the buildings and falling extremely far while my brother 360's off a rail and we hit in mid air was the greatest feeling ever
Anybody know where i can get American Wasteland for the gamecube? I miss that game so much
The only Tony Hawk games I played were that N64 and Underground. N64 was great, Underground was meh.
Never even knew this was being made, were the devs so sure this game would sell well that they didn't bother with any form of hype?

I loved THPS series and after those they pretty much sucked ballsacks.

I have the game on PC because I bought it again after I lost it 2 years ago, and playing it without the Gamecube controller feels odd.
Pro Skater 3 was where it was at. The PS1 version.
I've never owned another tony hawks game since that one, I've moved onto Skate which in this day and age is far superior.
Too bad Activision's other games aren't as terrible as this so they would fail in sales and go extinct.
Oh wait...
I remember playing american wasteland on my old really crap computer and the loading zones that were supposed to be "seamless" were more like seamlessless.
Tony Hawk died for me when THUG came out. It was a good game but I couldn't really enjoy any of the games after Pro Skater 4.
I wish they would make a THUG 3 but make it good and with none of that gimmick shit.
All the Pro Skater games and the 2 THUG games were AWESOME. I must of put dozens of hours into them
I liked the THUG series, mostly because they were just so different from the others. The first one was awesome, especially when you were in Russia. The second one with it's Jackass like plot led to some awesome missions.

Poor old Tony Hawk. Might as well play its funeral music.

I think the franchise started going downhill after Tony Hawk's Underground 2. ( Or Thug 2 depending on where you live ).
no
it was american wasteland
Agreed, Pro-Skater 2 was the shit.
I have it for the dreamcast :buddy:
no

American Wasteland was fine. It was the same style as The first 4.
hahaha more people visite facepunch a day then the sales of there video game
Last one I played was some Xbox 360 installment I rented a few years back. It sucked pretty bad compared to Pro Skater 3.
I feel sorry for those 3000
I reckon the series got wrecked because of Tony Hawk himself.
He's always trying to get the kids moving and out of the house.
So the developers come up with this stupid motion control shit because of him.

This is part of the problem too, he's not blameless in these awful decisions. So far as I know he's been behind the idiotic board 100% and basically insulted reviewers for not liking RIDE because of it.

he needs to get that sometimes you play out side and sometimes you feel like being lazy (or at least thats how it was for my childhood) funny thing is is that the old fun tonny hawk games are what got me to skate.
I blame the lazy 10 year old kids these days that stay inside and play cod all day
SKATE's better.
I miss Skate Heaven. Best level ever - All the ridiculously fun insane tricks and jumps only classic THPS could provide, plus that mystery as to what everything was supposed to be...
Apparently DJ Hero 2 only sold 59,000 units
unironically, if they did actually put a fake ak74 and gave it recoil and bundled it w/ a fps it'd own so hard.
This is the future of Call of Duty.
I wish.
