I'm really not a fan of the thumbsticks on the Vita, that and the buttons themselves being tiny really put me off it. The thumbsticks feel like an N64 joystick in that they seem to fix into UDLR, instead of being being freely movable.
The buttons are small but they work well even with my large hands (I'm 6'5 so larger than average hands) and the joysticks have a smooth rotation, no notches like the N64.
Gravity Daze/Rush demo is so good. For those of you who played it already, is there a point we can free roam at all? Or do we gotta kill the creatures at the end? And I've got the Japanese Demo, but it's exactly like the English demo.
God damn it Royal Mail, where the fuck is my Vita? I pre-ordered it with first class delivery and it should have been here yesterday, now I'll have to sit tight and hope it's here Friday. My luck is so incredibly shit.
It's around £150 on Amazon US if you convert to pounds but £200 in the UK!
£159 and yeah it sucks, never understood why prices couldn't all be calculated from the original currency.
£159 and yeah it sucks, never understood why prices couldn't all be calculated from the original currency.
Add VAT and you get £190. Really not that big of a difference when you consider importing costs.
Is the demo US only? Because i can't find it in the european store.
Japanese only, the US demo is only available at Vita Kiosks in retailers. If you want the Japanese Demo, here's the instructions, follow them to the letter;
Disclaimer: you need to reset the Vita to factory settings. Aside from watching that stupid intro movie twice, nothing bad comes of it. Sure, your settings are set to default, and any homescreen background is also set to default, but this is a 30-second job to fix. 0. Keep your memory stick in the Vita at all times. Do not take out the memory stick at any point of this procedure. 1. Create a Japanese or Chinese PSN account (there are tutorials online; it's very simple). Keep your login credential handy. 2. On your Vita, go into Settings > Format > Restore the PS Vita System. Follow the prompts, and say YES to deactivate account, and NO to format memory card. The Vita will now self reset. 3. Your Vita is now at factory defaults, and needs to be reconfigured. Continue as if normal, but when it prompts if you have a PSN/SEN account already, select YES. This is where you put in your Japanese or Chinese PSN credentials. 4. Watch that abysmal intro movie. I wish you could skip this crap. 5. You are now at the main screen of the Vita. Go directly into the PSN Store. 6. In the top-right corner, you will see a magnifying glass; click it. This is the search feature. 7. Chances are a Japanese or Chinese keyboard will pop up; if not, don't worry. If yes, click the "ABC" button beside the green return key. Type in "gravity", and tap send. 8. Select the Gravity Daze demo, and begin downloading. At this point, wait until it finishes and installs. 9. When it's finished, you need to go back to step 2, and continue up until you put in your PSN/SEN credentials. Put your NA/EU account credentials. 10. This startup video is the bane of my existence. 11. When you've reached the home screen, you'll notice that Gravity Daze is still there, and playable under your original account. If you take the memory card out at any point, you need to restart from step 2. When the Vita first launches, it does not detect the memory card has a different account than you registered on the Vita (eg. Vita = JPN; mem.stick = NA). Under normal circumstances, it would give you an error and soft-eject the memory stick, but not in this scenario.

It's around £150 on Amazon US if you convert to pounds but £200 in the UK!
Wi-fi one is 250$ in US and 400$ in Russia 3G one is 300$ in US and fucking 500$ in Russia.
Is their anyway to stream video to the Vita or is it only possible with remote play from a PS3?
Today I picked up Wipeout 2048, Hot Shots Golf, and got FIFA for free (B2G1F deal). FIFA seems like a very solid game, the only problem is I know absolutely nothing about football/soccer and there aren't really any tutorials on how to play the game. If you guys wouldn't mind answering a few questions I have: What are some good teams to pick? I understand how the shooting works with the rear touchpad, but I don't understand how to aim your shot when you're using just the button. Also whenever I use the physical button to shoot, the ball always goes really high up. How do I curve my shots? How do I predict and block shots as a goalie better? I can never tell where they are going to shoot. Any general tips/info I should know? Thanks guys!

I know you say that the demo works but do bought games?... have a few imported games i'd like to repurchase on store so could play again without having to use my old psp.
Got one of these yesterday, really enjoying it. Mainly playing Fifa, Motorstorm and Uncharted. EVERYONE MUST BUY MOTORSTORM ITS £4. Add me on PSN - Muracle :3
Can't wait to get one, sadly it wont be for a couple months(or more) but maybe the prices will go down a tad by the time I get some. also can't wait to play some Monster Hunter on the Vita and hopefully they make one just for the Vita.

I'm not sure, but the place I got the guide from also said that Vita games will work the same way as the demo, but don't try it until it is 100% confirmed.

Just bought Touch My Katamari on the store. file size is 666mb. Both funny and useful as it gives some idea of how big games are
Dont you need 2 memory cards if you want to have a second account?
Nope, the method I posted is if you only have 1 memory card. The big trick is not to turn on the demo once downloaded on the dummy Japanese account, and when reformatting it from the beginning, do NOT wipe the memory card. In other news, my Gravity Daze shipped from Play Asia, woo hoo!

No demo for English speakers could be related to the whole "delayed till May" thing with Gravity Rush.
I have been flat out playing Rayman , its actually so much fun and the graphics are so crisp and amazing! Great teams to pick are Barcelona, Man City, Man Utd, Argentina Etc 2. I wouldn't bother using any of the touchscreen functions as it makes the game way more complicated, your best off just disabling them in the settings menu. Also To curve your shots, you have to hold the right shoulder button when taking a shot. 3. I cant really help you on the goalie question because i never really bothered playing that way sorry. Other tips you should know probably would be stuff like; 1. If your a beginner, dont start on the lowest difficulty because you wont get any better because it is way to easy and you just dont learn, pick an intermediate team. 2. When starting career mode, choose the option Player/manager as that allows you to manage your team and also play with your team throughout the career mode. You should also pick a decent enough team to start out with, pick one of the teams i mentioned above. Any other questions feel free to ask pal :)
Wi-fi one is 250$ in US and 400$ in Russia 3G one is 300$ in US and fucking 500$ in Russia.
Jesus christ, my eyes actually widened from reading that. $500 is way too much for a goddamn PORTABLE. Anyways, just got the Vita today and have only played Wipeout 2048. As far as the game itself is concerned, it's pretty damn awesome, which I have come to expect from the Wipeout series. However, as for the Vita itself, the only thing I didn't really like is how...controlled it is. Not much customization going on and you always have to sign in or update something just to do anything. Not to mention being forced to sit through the goddamn self-advertising when you first turn on the Vita.
Yay, got mine 2 days ago free with my renewed phone contract. Cant stop playing wipeout :v:
Holy crap Gravity Daze is a good game. My import copy arrived in the mail, it's a lot of fun. Exploring the city, gravity manipulation, enemies I find somewhat hilarious animation wise. And Kat is a very likable character, IMO. [IMG_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/6LZkF.jpg[/IMG_thumb] [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/oSLPJ.jpg[/img_thumb]
Anyone else win a vita from Taco Bell and receive it? I want to know if they actually send shit out at a decent time/at all. Never got uncharted 3 like I was supposed to from subway...

Japanese only, I understand enough to get by( Ch7 in the game is BRUTAL to non Japanese readers)
I love how the commercial is like "Never stop playing..." when the battery runs out super fast.
If you do this http://mentalgamers.com/2012/02/how-to-us-netflix-on-a-uk-vita/ But do Hong Kong stuff instead of american you can get the Gravity Rush demo in English. Its awesome. Create a Hong Kong psn on the website as its much easier and it works perfectly.
