The fact that the PSVita is starting so cheap is proof that Sony are focused on gaining back their consumers trust. I mean, $250 US for all that hardware, probably barely breaking even.

Probably would have got myself one of these if the pricing wasn't so horrible in the UK compared to the US.

The whole exchange rate thing happens with everything, though. It sucks anyway. I'm saving up for a Canon t3i and it's $890 if I order it from the us but it's 890 euros here in sweden. Wait no the swedish krona is more expensive than the euro so in sweden it's about 920 euros. Which is 1.337 dollars. I'm not making this up I actually got 1.337,209 from the converter.

I think the lowest possible price of 250 is to compete with the 3DS, but it better have more games than just the ones shown or announced at E3, because honestly it would suffer the same fate as the PSP, not having a strong library.

This actually looks like it'll be worth the money and I'm not big on handhelds. Last handheld I owned was a Game Boy color, with some cool Pikachu on it and shit.

Goddamn it. The Vita has the hardware while the 3DS has the games. The only option is to not buy either for a year or so, I guess. I'm pissed that, while I really want the Vita, a new Smash Bros was announced for the 3DS. My favorite game series of all time.

I had not heard of the PS Vita until i saw this thread, (I didn't watch too much of E3) so when i saw the thread name. I thought the OP horribly misspelled "PC Vista." (I thought vista cause of the word 'Vita' and because of Vista, it made me think of a PC.) Actually, now that i think about it... Playstation Vista doesn't sound that bad.

What I'm waiting for is a Mortal Kombat on PSVita. Mark my words: There will be a Mortal Kombat for PSVita. The 9, or a new one, I don't know, but it'll happen, and I'll buy it for sure.
