Sure, ATT sucks as the 3G carrier. But, does anyone know the carrier for Canada yet? My bets on Rogers.
Its usually any of them... Iphones/iPads aren't restricted, I dont see why the PSV would be. As i understand it, phones and the PSV are limited to AT&T because of the hardware needed to connect to their network is different than other ones. In canada, we all use the same as AT&T, so you can get it on anything. I know that the Verizon iphone needed new hardware to connect to that network
Fuck that, I'm hoping for a MGS game.
But... Koijma already had a break down beceause of MGS4 :saddowns:
Thanks. I'm not sure if I should just not bother with the 3G version, or I should just get it since it's only $50 more and will give me the option to later on.
$50 extra plus $180 or $300 depending on what ATT dataplan you go with (and that's for a year plan. Double it if you get roped into a 2 year plan, which you probably will, because most cell carriers suck ass). Really, I know this might sound plain wacky, but what if, what if everyone would just unprotect their wifi? Think about it . . . in a city where most businesses and and buildings have wifi (and depending on the building, dozens of them), there would be no need for silly 3G or even 4G while in a city. And there wouldn't be worry of "hey, he's sappin' my bandwidth" because the entire city would be a giant wifi network. But then, I live in a fantasy world where people have common sense and are generally trusting and nice to one another. The city I live in is the opposite.

Obviously they changed their minds.

But guess who sued them and made them stop? Comcast. Yay big business! I fucking hate Comcast. Anyway . . . HEY, OP! HERE IS THE PRESS RELEASE WITH TECH INFO TO PUT ON THE FRONT PAGE AND SUCH: http://www.scei.co.jp/corporate/release/pdf/110607a_e.pdf
The PS Vita looks cool as shit but I feel bad owning a PSP and a stack of UMD games behind me.
Since I have an unlimited data plan on my phone, I will just use tethering and save some bucks on buying a wifi-only. also brb. Grabbing PSP games from the welcome back package.
I got LBP and Pursuit Force. I already have Killzone Liberation and Mod Nation Racers. Pursuit Force looks dumb but hey, free game.
I was hoping for good camera specs, disappointed Cameras: - Front camera. - Rear camera. - Frame rate: 120fps@320x240(QVGA), 60fps@640x480(VGA). - Resolution: Up to 640x480(VGA).
Since I have an unlimited data plan on my phone, I will just use tethering and save some bucks on buying a wifi-only. also brb. Grabbing PSP games from the welcome back package.
I didn't get the message about the package. :smith:
How do you survive on $170 a month
I still live with my parents, that's why. And not buying anything so i can save up for shit.
I got LBP and Pursuit Force. I already have Killzone Liberation and Mod Nation Racers. Pursuit Force looks dumb but hey, free game.
Pursuit Force is really stupid but it's really fun.
Implying the ONLY wage is minimum wage. Anyone that gets paid equal to at least the minimum wage in the UK (when converted) will have to pay an extreme amount less. EDIT: Also, EastBayWilly, nobody holds anything personal, it's just that you are confused about the concept of an exchange rate - let me explain it. A pound, the currency in the UK is worth more than a dollar, but me, in the UK, have to effectively pay more than anyone in the US, since a pound is harder to obtain than a dollar.
Got confused, apparently UK price is being converted, but EU price isn't. It still works out bad for EU though, they are paying more. Edit: Ah crap I quoted instead of editing... oh well.
So anyone here bought a PSVita yet?
its... not out?
its... not out?
Well there is always importing.
its... not out?
Japan has it.
Apparently it's doing really badly? That sucks...
Apparently it's doing really badly? That sucks...
It is? Looked pretty cool to me. Why is it doing poorly? :s
Apparently it's doing really badly? That sucks...
It doesn't have Nintendo written on it so of course it's doing badly in Japan I'll buy this thing either when it doesn't cost more than a PS3 or when someone hacks it and we get custom firmware, whichever comes first

I bought my PSP because of it.
That's why I'm not to worried about pre-ordering mine late off Amazon, since there seems to be like no anticipation. Cannot wait to get one of these into my hands.
It would be pretty great if someone managed to get an N64 emulator working on the PS Vita (If custom firmware becomes readily available for it, that is) at a decent framerate. I'm pretty sure nobody ever really managed to make one for the PSP that didn't look, sound and play like ass. Portable Conker? Yes please.
I still hope to see homebrew and emulator, such as ps2, xbox and gamecube. You know, half-life 1 and 2 would be sweet on psvita.
It's funny because I saw someone defending why the PSP did so badly was because of custom firmware. I bought my PSP because of it.
I bought mine at release but never used it until CFW was at a good point. Still use it to this day. [editline]29th December 2011[/editline] If they get a PS2 emulator working all I ask for is MGS3 and Mercenaries.

Kinda figured this out when i read that you can transfer your MGS2 and 3 saves to your Vita.
If you get the MGS HD Collection, you can play MGS2 and 3 on your Vita. Kinda figured this out when i read that you can transfer your MGS2 and 3 saves to your Vita.
All my money.
So anyone here bought a PSVita yet?
I've preordered one. I recommend that you wait until the holidays though. The bundles are non-worthwhile and everything is expensive as shit. I got it for $360; PSVita($250), 8gb memory card ($30), 2 games ($80), but it was much more worth it than purchasing the $350 bundle(PSV, 4 gb memory card, one game). [editline]29th December 2011[/editline]
It is? Looked pretty cool to me. Why is it doing poorly? :s
I think it has to do with the high price and the holidays. People probably want to buy something that will provide the same amount of enjoyment as the PSVita but cheaper. The Vita would meet a better fate if it sold in North America during the holidays. I've talked with many people and they were more stoked for it than the 3DS. It's probably going to sell horribly in February, they will slash down the price, and offer better bundles during Christmas. Makes me feel duped, but hey, at least I get to play Blazblue and UMVC3 with friends cross platform. [editline]29th December 2011[/editline] Is it confirmed that PSVITA users will be able to download the PS3 and PSP PSN stores?
It's funny because I saw someone defending why the PSP did so badly was because of custom firmware. I bought my PSP because of it.
Well, the PSP did "badly" because nobody bought games and just pirated them instead Sony needs to share in some of the blame for that though - custom firmware users were banned from accessing the playstation store and even after releasing the Go they kept their PSN prices higher than retail UMDs. (Which made no sense because Go users HAD to either pay Sony's inflated PSN prices or just pirate games)
