Uh...I accidently told my pet to go to town..now I cant find him/her...help?
It'd be at the bar. You have to pay 100 gold to get it back.
wishing does not require a god, it's a random occurrence. as for your pet, it seems your bear needs to be a higher level- the little girl does the most damage out of the pets, I believe. the damage system relies on simulated dice rolls, for example a (2d5-1) scythe has 2 dice rolls, each time being 1-5. the -1 shows a damage bonus, in this case a negative one. a number in parenthesis next to it would indicate a hit bonus.
Ah... So weapons with more dice rolls would most likely be better right?

More dice doesn't necessarily mean better weapon. It depends on what you want really.

I like the feat descriptions. A lot. "Sexy - You learn sexy poses" "Tough - Pushing your head against a wall makes you tougher"
I haven't been able to dig anything since the tutorial... I want to fix up my house :(
I haven't been able to dig anything since the tutorial... I want to fix up my house :(
Go to that one house board thing and use it. It'll let you remake your house with all kinds of tiles. It should be down in the bottom left part of your house.
I haven't been able to dig anything since the tutorial... I want to fix up my house :(
1. Go to house. 2. Go to house board (Looks like a little board with paper on it.) 3. Use it. 4. Hit "a" 5. Hit "enter" to choose different tiles. 6. Fix up your house.

How do I talk to people, at first walking into them worked but now it just displaces them.
How do I talk to people, at first walking into them worked but now it just displaces them.
It displaces the people that you can't talk to. Walking into people should still work. At least with people that you can actually talk to.

Z right? I'm not sure it's working...
It's F to shoot, only if you have a weapon that can shoot equipped. To attack them with melee, just walk into them.
Well I'm doing good, I found an amulet(Not officially yet, but it is obvious to me) that lets my god talk to me, it also says (special). The only thing I need to know is, how to gain karma besides quests, the quests in dowrn(That right?) boil down to things I cannot do with dying.
The easiest quests are the delivery quests, look for that to get you started. I think there is only one other way to get karma, but those are ramdom events.
Turning in lost wallets/suitcases will get you karma, as will burying dead adventurers you find (random event). If you have a maid, beggars (and lots of other people) will sometimes show up at your house, and you can give them some gold for 2 karma. But you lose the karma (and regain the gold) if you kill them afterwards.
If there is a message about a "sword that ends all" in the town... Load up some kind of health cheat (mine is keeping me at 10 trillion) and attack the robed guy that wants to be left alone. One he starts Ragnarok-ing a lot, all the dragons kill him, and each other while destroying about half of the city! You hardly even get a turn in (at least I don't) near the end. Through this very same process, I have learned that nether dragons are the strongest. Ps- While I was typing this, a wandering priest came up to me and cast a spell on me. That's one tough priest. Pss- Also, since you get xp for being hit, you can gain levels if you are low enough. Psss- It also appears nether dragons regenerate.
What does PV stand for? I'm comparing a metal breast plate (1,10), to a glass breastplate (7,0)
What does PV stand for? I'm comparing a metal breast plate (1,10), to a glass breastplate (7,0)
DV (defense value) seems to increase your evade, while PV (protection value) increases your damage reduction. Generally, PV = good while DV is kinda shit early on.
DV (defense value) seems to increase your evade, while PV (protection value) increases your damage reduction. Generally, PV = good while DV is kinda shit early on.
So which should I stick with the most?
So which should I stick with the most?
If you're a spellcaster go mostly for lightweight stuff with high dv, heavy stuff reduces the chance of succesfully casting spells. Or if you use melee or bows and stuff go for high pv. Damnit my text is broken
Dummer, what class are you? I want to just be a Dwarven Farmer and open a ranch and a farm, but money is so hard to come by and it's insanely difficult to get. Especially being a weak fucktarded Farmer... What can I do to accomplish my life long dream? :C

Spellbooks can sell for pretty much if you aren't planning to read them. Training performer skill took quite a while since you can't play around guards until your skill is around 35. Also get the negotiation skill if you don't have it already, when its trained up stuff is cheaper and you can sell stuff for a better price. I sold my vomit for 80g.
-snip- Mental Retardation So far this game is kicking my ass. I'm not out of the tutorial yet. :G I am a machinegod though. I'll win. Oh, I also have a halo. :D Edit: I'm in some dude's house fighting putits, once I smashed one of the thousands I was killing, it said a mad millionaire man was dropping his mad cash, and I got like 800 something G. I want one of those banks so if I die I keep my money. Where can I get one? o.o

There's a few... suprises up ahead.
Where is a general vendor? He keeps my money for me? I'd travel with the bare minimum, 200gp or maybe 500gp, that way if i'm stopped by bandits, they don't demand something in the thousands...
He doesn't store your money (though he'll gladly take it). You'll need to buy a piggy bank from him. They're rather rare and one time use items.
Let me ask you guys a few questions, I've heard about roguelikes, and I downloaded IVAN when the other roguelike thread was popular about a week ago. I just never got around to playing it. I want to know that, now that I have died twice and I have clicked get up instead of getting burried, that if I click to get burried I lose my character forever. I like sitting down and really working out a good character in a new game, collecting items and such, I've been robbed a few times and I like the idea of being able to lose some of your gold and items, but I don't want to have a perminate death and I don't want to lose everything I've worked on in my house. Edit: Don't know if this is contributing. In the first town, bartender in the pub had a different option than most people. " Call Back Ally " My dead little girl was in the list, so I'm assuming you can resurrect your allies. :D
