There's an awful lot to absorb in the beginning of this game. When I'm out of the tutorial cave, I have no idea what I should do. Should I buy things in town? Get a quest from the notice board? Get work from the townspeople? Dungeon crawl? Explore the wilderness? I went into the puppy cave and there was just sooooo much shit going on all at once, it was really overwhelming. I died after attacking a couple monsters.
Don't try to kill things until later around lv 4-5. Earn money from escort and delivery quests. Buy a gun and ammo. Always run from Putis. That's what I've been doing, except instead of the quests I was a prostitute and look what happened to me. It's fine now though...I dunno how I managed to get 20 karma in a few days but I did. Anyway I just made a 388 mile journey, imagine that, to Noyel just to be killed by a guard. Oops. Apparently I magically lost 9 karma while I travelled to Noyel. Personal problem nevermind. Does anyone else agree that this is not Puti rank?

The first few times look at the world map, at least until you get the hang of where towns are. Also something I would need to know, what class are you? And some miscellaneous advice. - Derphy sells slaves, basically human pets. These are awesome, but do not buy nurses or spellcasters, or at early levels archers - Yowyn sells horses, the generic riding pet, I assume you can be sure it can lift you, you need the riding to mount(Note, every ally is ridable, including the humans). - Standard guns can use the laser gun ammo(for some reason, not sure if vice versa is true). - I personally go drinking from all the fountains I find, but others will probably recommend you not do that. - Never ever use a rod(Z) in a town to figure out what it is, sans Derphy. - If it is capitalized, then press shift+key, if you already didn't know. - According to Enth, you should never sell a map unless the digging location is in snow. - The z menu is your friend, how else would I be able to sleep at night? [editline]07:45AM[/editline] Also, any way I could uncurse this pistol I have, I can't get it unequiped, and it pissing me off(TELEPORTATION :argh:), well, anyway BESIDES scrolls?
Also something I would need to know, what class are you?
I picked whatever the first race is and warrior, because someone said it's easy to play if you're new. I have no idea what I should be spending my money on, and I don't understand how I know if a weapon or piece of armor is any good.

Weapons work like this. (1d5+1), 1 dice, dealing 5-6 damage I believe it was. Either that or the opposite is true. 1 damage but 6 dice. Also, when given the chance, get the cursed words nullification feat, really useful.
Also, it might be good to keep your salary money in the box, unless you really need it. I have about 10K coins safely stored in my salary chest. Don't forget to vote at the voting box in towns, cause you'll get paid for that. And do arena matches, the first ones are pretty easy and you'll probably get about 100 extra, which increases every rank you gain. [editline]12:07PM[/editline] My arena rank is 67 and I get 1320 coins extra income

But then again you don't seem to know what a dice is.. kids these days. never seen anything IRL Oh and personally I spend most of my money for identification. You lose like 1-2k by dying and everything is worthless when it's not identified. Not that it's worth anything if you identify it but you can use it then. EDIT: DAMNIT what can I do against those fucking theves in the caves? There's always like 5 of them and they steal up to 10% of my money, I can't kill them because they vanish instantly. That's not fair :(
Fijgum, just don't identify everything. You don't need to. Just use your common sense and identify things you get from major quests/bosses and you're fine. You can also just walk around with it to sort of semi-identify it.
First time ether disease helped me! I have grown feathers, which increases my speed, and decreases my weight by 20%! The only bad thing is that I can't wear cloaks

Now while I slept my uber hut was cursed, I can't find anything to uncurse it :(

Yeah, about the money... My little girl dies all the time. I'm level 5 now and there are bears and wolves. But they're not that bad, there is this small grey bug and it allways kills the girl. It takes 135gold to revive her. Pretty much :( What's up with lvl6? Is the game getting harder after lvl 6? e.g. taxes and stuff And is cooking a useful skill, should I learn that with my stupid golem warrior?
:words: All you need to know: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dice_notation
That's what I said just with more :words: and a fency graph
In short: Like D&D, if you've played it. :v:
Before It's Too Late quests are good too, they give lots of money and they're easy to complete. Be sure to check if you can make it before the deadline though as you lose karma if you fail.
Locked attributes will not change, is that good or bad?
Character creation? Think about it.
If you can raise your stats, I guess that's bad. If you can lose them, I guess that's good.
That just determines your starting attributes. Each is a random roll, so you want the overall rolls to be high. Say you roll strength and it lands on 32. You want to keep that! So you lock it, and roll the rest again, get another high stat, lock that. Then you roll a few more times hoping for high rolls.

I'm sorry, sometimes I forget that people cannot chose not to be stupid :( Charactercreationstats are based on RANDOMNESS. If you get one high you can keep it that way by locking it. Now don't lock random stats because they sound cool, try to imagine.. okay, skip that, if you have a fighting class (warrior) you need strengh and constitution. Don't play anything else, so you just need those 2 attributes [editline]06:22PM[/editline] Hell yeah, I paid my taxes now I have 8gp left ;O
Oh, so that's what it's for.

I have fucking hooves. I see some of those quests as impossible. I need to know. Who sells disease cures. I don't want 4 eyes, I want to be smart again and get my memory back and lose this dementia. I've got a lot wrong with me.
whoa whoa, where do I get casino chips?! I woke up having a lucky day which increases my luck by 777 Got blessed by a god and won several rounds the other day now I don't have any chips left :(

A potion of cure corruption can be gained through the main quest, but it'll only heal 2-3 effects, and it sounds like you've got a lot.

That's not luck. That's running around like a maniac in fucking CANCER WIND. The game even has a popup (which comes up several times iirc) that tells you that etherwind is BAD SHIT. It also tells you where to find shelter.
I invested in a shop and now I enjoy showing off my body. GAME, WHAT THE FUCK?
That means your charisma increased.

The helper tutorial thing goes "Oh oops I must've forgotten to tell you. You can find shelter from etherwind in Inns!" Originally she told me to run out into open plains and evacuate from the etherwind. So if I was in vernis and etherwind came I'd run my way to derphy. [editline]11:53AM[/editline] How do I pay taxes? I'm sitting on a tax box and I can't figure out how to pay.
Now that's some bullshit. It clearly tells you to seek shelter, not run out into the open plains (which is stupid if you even stop to think about it).

The last time I heard of ether was pokemon gold There's no stress on the really important things in Elona. Right now my feats are telling me my equipment is negating the affects of sleep, and it's like if someone went up to me casually and talked a while, then said "Oh yeah I think you have terminal cancer, no biggy." Oh dear...
