Oh dear...
Drink either sulphuric acid or dye to fix that since it's BAD shit.
They didn't tell me how to counter etherwind until I accidentally entered my way into an inn shelter...during rain. The helper tutorial thing goes "Oh oops I must've forgotten to tell you. You can find shelter from etherwind in Inns!"
Originally she told me to run out into open plains and evacuate from the etherwind. So if I was in vernis and etherwind came I'd run my way to derphy.

Whatever. I'll steadily get rid of these disgusting mutations and diseases. Just got my first remove mutations potion.
If it's not a potion of cure corruption, it won't do shit to etherwind disease.
You're not the only one who got unlucky, all my etherwinds start while I'm on my way to Palmia, with no town in sight. I also had 5 mutations due to dreams.
You should go to a casino, bet 1 chip in blackjack, and everytime you win 5 matches you'll get a cure corruption potion.

No. It was a cure of mutation. The king gave it to me.
Taxes. Tell me how to pay them now. It's been 4 months, karma -60. What the fuck.
I got some mutations myself :>

This game even has home made abbortions :O

That's a potion of cure corruption, exactly what I said cures etherwind disease...
I gained mutations in my sleep. One of them made me more resistant to lightning, and another gave me a sweet voice (CHR +5)
This game's karma system is bullshit though. I took one of those quests where you have to escort a sick person to a nearby town, and on the way there she just fucking died of poison. We never got attacked by monsters or had any kind of encounter... She just ran around the world map like a nut, and we didn't even get halfway to the town before she died. It would've been nice to know ahead of time that the quest was IMPOSSIBLE, becuase now I'm not allowed into any towns, but this is due to MANY escort missions I've taken up that I had no chance in hell of completing because my escort is always raped by thousands monsters and it is physically impossible for me to kill them in time. How am I supposed to gain karma if I'm now permanently a criminal?
Also, all my townspeople are suddenly picking up the annoying-as-hell habit of teleporting at random all over the town. Maybe I need to see the innkeeper to prevent myself starving to death, but she sure as hell isn't at the inn. I just have to look aaallll over town for her because she could literally be anywhere, and then there's the chance that once I find her, she teleports to another random location. At first it was just the innkeeper, but now it seems to be getting popular among all the other townspeople as well. Can I staple them to the floor or something?
If you know you can't complete the quests, why would you just continually take them? As for the teleportation, they found cursed equipment. It happens. Take it from them or deal with it.

The advice here was to take escort missions. Or... Wait, was it delivery missions?
Fuck.
At any rate, they really should just remove those "deliver the sick person" quests if it's possible for the person to just drop dead out of nowhere when you're nowhere near the destination. I'm sure as hell never taking another one. I was able to complete one and I got a huge amount of money, but on the second one, the person just plain died. I don't think I'll ever take an escort quest either.
So how do I get more karma? I've never seen it go up for any reason but completing a quest, and in that case it only goes up by one, whereas failing a quest makes it go down by a million.

Kept on collecting those diseases.

Well, at least two times as often people said "WATCH FOR THE TIME LEFT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
I just did a "Beauty and the Beast" quest and the assassins I came across were incredibly easy to kill. But the girlfriend just ran off and I was wondering the entire time I was fighting the puti rank creatures where the fuck she went. She died...stupid fucker. One creature left and she was probably in some corner.
Now how the fuck do I pay taxes. The wiki is no help.
Yes it does.
Oh wait, you can't read? Why communicate via forum?
http://elona.wikia.com/wiki/Taxes
You definitely don't use the payment box or anything, nope. Definitely couldn't be an action.

Oh yeah? Well FUCK YOU.
The wiki lied about gaining karma. It says if you're at -25 or lower and a guard kills you, your karma goes up by 10. I'm at -36, I got killed by a guard, and it's still -36. Looks like I'm completely fucked. Goddamn game.

That would be a very...very helpful feature.
I think I should probably just start over, because I consider it highly unlikely that I'll ever randomly find enough wallets and dead bodies to increase my karma.
Of course, I shudder to think how hard it would be if I ended up as low as that guy above me...
How do I go about using a bed, for all I know im just standing on it using rest
You definitely don't use the payment box or anything, nope. Definitely couldn't be an action.
Payment box? Or something similar. I go over it. Press enter, open it. Then what? I can't do anything else with it. Is it a use or open?
Too late now. I have to regain 40 karma in a month because I forgot to pay taxes.
What is wrong with you. I rubbed the wiki article in your face and you still don't get it. Please consider leaving the PC world because reading is rather important and you don't seem to be able to do it.
I mean if you'd at least be smart, that could compansate the lack of reading but if BOTH is missing - that won't work.
By the way this game hates my gold. I always get ambushed by robbers that rape my ass.
Now I had about enough money to pay the fucking taxes and on my way to do so - I lost all of it?
Man this game makes me want to cheat so bad, every time it works out pretty well it sneaks up behind me and completely buttfucks everything up. This is so frustrating

"Yes it does." would make sense if he had said "The wiki doesn't help."
But he didn't.

Over level six. The wiki says this. At level 6 and above, you can regain karma that way.

How the fuck do you manage these things, you have to not pay your taxes for several MONTHS before you lose karma and the guards come after you.

Yeah I read that. When I was 3 months overdue (before being a criminal) I went there, opened it, and I thought that was it.
Apparently I have to use it, not open it. Jeez sorry. My post that you quoted was just to say that I was going to go back and try again.
Yes the wiki did not help. It didn't say what exactly to do with the payment box.

It's not that hard. I forget to pay my taxes at neutral karma and that's -60.

That's actually true...I'm now -28 karma instead of -78. Must be you're bugged.
Once again, you only gain karma when being killed by guards at level 6 or greater.
