So the networking stuff isn't really working all that well
I have to either die or chat to see deaths and others' chat, but then the box is cluttered with all the deaths and I can't read much :(

Networking is shit at the moment. I've got it off. I only turn it on when wanting to fuck around with people. You can send fake messages of death, creation, artifacts etc.
Hopefully he'll put more options in to allow deaths-only chat-only etc etc. Or he may just remove it because it's a nuisance to him(again).

Slime? You'll need a ranged attack to deal with them. That long, one-tile tunnel down in the cave is a chokepoint which allows you to deal with the stronger enemies without any trouble at all, so long as you have enough armour.
What you do is hack your way through until you see a Slime: then stop melee attacking and target it. It'll cast acid pools around itself, but it won't be able to punch you. At the very worst, it'll kill the putits around it and get closer.
Then target it, switch to ranged and whittle away its health in relative safety. Just keep an eye on your HP and make sure that the enemy in front of you can't do more damage than you can regenerate or defend against.
Alternatively, you can just come back when you're a higher level. :v:

It refreshes every 10 seconds when you do nothing, you die, or you say something.
I think i am going to turn it off because it sometimes slows down some things. Like performing.
My elona is running extremely fast. Too fast, i can't live longer than a few minutes without starving or die from another cause. I can't interact properly because everyone moves way too fast. I can't fight because the game is going too fast.
My guy is contantly running, even on the spot. Does anyone know why? If so, is there a way to fix it? was liking this game 'til that happened.
EDIT: Also when i interact, or do anything that opens a new little window thingy i have to click on the screen before i do anything. Its getting annoying.
Do you have scroll lock on? If so, turn it off.
It's off, has been for ages.

Look at the game settings. I think you can set frame skip rate up and some other speed things down.

Try Num lock then. I could have gotten confused.
I'm on a laptop, num lock and scroll lock are the same button. I'll try what sami said, but it was normal for a while and i didn't change the settings.
EDIT: No luck, nothing is working. I tried the settings no frame setting anywhere.

Go to word map and press R to read it.
It feels more like a rpg than rogue-like to me. The only difference being that every step is a turn, and that the turns never stop and are unlimited.
Just download and try it.

I believe they are made after a suggestion on the forum asking for a way to level lock picking without having to pick the safes in town and using moon gates without 10000 doors.

Try hitting Ctrl+Alt+Delete, going to the 'processes' tab, looking for Elona.exe, right clicking, hitting "set affinity", and deselecting all but one core.

it kills everyone except you onscreen. even your friend/pet/hired goon.
I killed that badass in the danger level 666 fort using it and got three locked chests that I can't unlock

How do I stop these incredibly hard monsters from randomly appearing, There is no cursed items, nor spells, nor books being read.

Well i got my game running properly again, i downloaded it again, didn't work. So i just went to bed and came back on about an hour ago. Works fine now, i'm a lvl 7. Yay!
Everytime I get some stuff, these bandits just take it all :argh:
I tried making a new character, and as soon as I stepped outside they got me again :argh:

That's normal unfortunately. They seem to easily take 20% of all money you make.
Just don't go into a cave with money on you.
My performing skill is about 27 now but i can't use it because the party jobs are too hard..fucking sucks.
