It's not like the game is attempting to be blindingly two-bit in contrast like BOOK OF ELI. what do you mean? [editline]31st March 2011[/editline] and i'd argue that there needs to be better visual cues for mechs so they stick out from the background more but it's kind of a pale argument when you're in a mech yourself and the enemies appear with huge red boxes with their health beside it. if you were to lose electrical power to your mech and/or your HUD goes offline it is kind of neat to have a harder time identifying friend from foe I think
Now lets see some really badass building destruction and you have me sold on it.

I hope there's some mech customization. We don't need anything as insane as what Armored Core did, but I would like to mix it up with some light, medium, heavy variants. While I love me a heavy bruiser mech, it can be just as much fun to dash around the map like a mosquito with a railgun.
I saw this on RPS or pcgamer a while back ( I don't remember) but I am interested. The problem I always have with mech-based games is the scale I just hope this does it right.
On the second video, when I saw that floating ship. I realized that I think this game looks a lot like the alien tech from District 9.

This looks pretty awesome, I hope future cities look like that, it's fucking awesome though But when they say FPS, I hope it's from the perspective of the pilot, not just you can see the mech's guns in front of it, like from the pilot's eyes with a HUD, and targeting systems and radar and stuff. Now that'd be awesome

The environments are nice, but I don't see a big difference in this than in any other FPS except Mechs Bigger Targets Large Rocket/Missile use Large Jetpack use Beautiful mapping. What is the big deal breaker for the game?

Other than that, indie devs are fucking awesome, before they sellout.

I want to love how this game looks, but as much as I am a fan of mechs, it looks like any other FPS but with Mechs. If there was a mod that replaced the models with ones from games like CoD the only difference would be shooting rockets off your shoulders and using a jetpack. They need something unique, maybe a leash-like weapon from Bulletstorm.

Anyone else see the mech in the second video like about 3/4s in, it look like it was folding up. Any idea what it was doing, cause to me it looks like it was interrupted.
