Hawken - Mech FPS- I looked upon the face of god, and I wept

First video I was like: :geno:
Second video I was like: :flashfap:
First video was meh and Was so fucking Shaky.
This is an INDIE game!? Holy shit, it's like Armored Core but not terrible.. Or like MechWarrior but it actually exists!
That last fight in the second video was really intense.
Yet they say, 'early prototype video: does not reflect the quality of the final product'.
What the fuck in the fucking hell, they mean it's gonna get improved by a ton?
This already looks better than the million mainstream FPS games I've seen. And it was made by indie devs.
The only thing that says "Prototype" to me about those videos is the jerky animations, other than that it looks amazing.
Still not a fan of the flying.
Why the fuck not?
Way more interesting combat, if you hate it then I'm sure there will be options to disable it
Looks really badass. I just hope we can customize..different colors..art styles...attachments (Maybe different jetpacks for height and how long they last or something like that.)
I love the humming noise that giant ship makes in the second video, just something about it gives me goosebumps.
I hope they'll make this modable...
I see a MGS Gecko fight...
Reminds me of Phantom Crash, except not focussed on stealth.

Will be keeping an eye on this.

The Cockpit view looks awesome.
If the implement some sort of perk system like Call of Duty, more ammo or faster mechs i'm going to shoot myself.
god damn i need to upgrade my pc, i wanna fucking play that game holy SHIIIIIIIIIIT
Need little cars and people and more sense of scale.

Hopefully the prototype label means they'll fix the rubberbanding that was going on in the trailer, unless they just recorded it on a shit connection.
As long as it's more than "Kill as many opponents as you can in one of 8 different mech variations on very similar maps", because then it's just another FPS.
Maybe:
- Huge scale (you see that warship in orbit in the first trailer? Don't let it be just a painting in the background)
- Different mechs, and not only the same mechs with different weapons (different mech sizes too maybe?)
- Better gamemodes then deathmatch (ever played Battle Engine Aquila? I'm not saying DM shouldn't be in, just let's not have it as the main gamemode).
I don't know, just make it more than the usual FPS with the addition of mechs.
I was hoping for battletech.
Gundam crossed with battletech is fine too.
I want to love how this game looks, but as much as I am a fan of mechs, it looks like any other FPS but with Mechs.
If there was a mod that replaced the models with ones from games like CoD the only difference would be shooting rockets off your shoulders and using a jetpack.
They need something unique, maybe a leash-like weapon from Bulletstorm.
CoD? Seriously? CoD is a cinema-realistic twitch shooter, this looks alot closer to hyper paced shooters like UT/Quake except with jetpacks, which is awesome in itself.

Exactly what i described it as to my friend. Ut in mechs.
Im so excited now, it looks great.
The environments are nice, but I don't see a big difference in this than in any other FPS except
Mechs
Bigger Targets
Large Rocket/Missile use
Large Jetpack use
Beautiful mapping.
What is the big deal breaker for the game?
Exactly, there is no deal breaker. Unless you mean "deal maker", which in this case is all of the above shit you listed. Honestly, even if this game is a milquetoast FPS, it is still gorgeous and is still a mech game. That's enough for me.
If they do add some more cues to the scale of the mechs and innovative gameplay, it'll just make me want to support the developers more. I want this game to be something special, but I'll buy it if it's mediocre just for the art direction.
What I want most in mecha games is the gigantic scale of battles, and full customization.
I understand that I can only change my armor and weapons in a game where I control living things, but for fuck's sake in a mecha game am supposed to be able to dismantle my mecha and add new things and shit!
Apparently with the Mechs they said they're going for Quality, not Quantity.
So you can expect to see some really nicely done Mechs with good weaponry but not like 7 million of them.

Progenitor of Mech Games (i.e Mechwarrior series) says no you can't. I much prefer the Mechwarrior system of customisation than say the Armoured Core system.
Looks pretty shveet. Looks like they took the lovechild of Mechwarrior and Armored Core, and threw on a dollop of Borderlands paint, and erased all the outlines.

That's fine. I'd rather have 4 mechs that I can customize to hell and back instead of 30 mechs that have prebuilt shit.
I still wish for a mech game where you can build it from the ground up.
What I find more amazing is it's built by INDIE devs over the course of NINE months.
