They aren't the same character, Ninten has Asthma, While Ness does not, Ninten lives in America, Ness in Eagleland, Plus, Ninten has two sisters, While Ness has only one sister.

I don't want to see an official Mother3 translation because nintendo will take out all the "politically incorrect" bits

I guess because he's in such sharp contrast to the rest of the game, up until you meet giygas you've been fighting cartoony aliens with bendy arms and piles of barf that attack by burping at you.
it helps to not know what giygas is beforehand. I remember playing it when I was little, thinking giygas was just going to be a really really big starman or something. I was sorely mistaken.

For those who don't know, EarthBound is one of my top 3 games of all time (behind Zelda: Majora's Mask (see avatar) but ahead of Half-Life 1).

Some "Another World" game. But god damn does it look similar to EarthBound.
It's interesting how the art style is incredibly similar...
I'm interested in hearing more information about that game.

Tomorrow is MOTHER's 20th Anniversary. Yay!
Me and my friend decided to go through this entire game in one day a few days ago. We're hoping 12:00 - 12:00 but I doubt it would take that quick.
I bought this fully Japanese GBA game that has Mother and Mother 2 in Japanese. Pretty sick. I liked the first one for what I played. In Japanese. I'm also pissed I can't play Earthbound tomorrow on Mother's 20th anniversary.
