Playing on them is not a right, it's a privilege.
In the defense of the server people, they are just trying to keep things classy and professional.
Also, it is annoying to hear some kid screaming "NIGGER FUCK JEW COCK" on a surround sound system when your family is in the next room over.
Kinda ironic how everyone on here seems to have the impression "Violent video games are fantasies children don't act out the violence in real life!" Then turn around and say that children younger then themselves shouldn't be playing them.
If you think about, the violence is of course fake, but the voicechat isn't. It's like real life, and if you are cursing regularly and they hear it, then of course they are going to repeat it. Look at my hillbilly redneck piece of shit neighbors, who curse all the time around their children, and now their 7 year old kids curse more than I do.
Fuck, I was playing DOOM at age 7, you would think I would be a sociopath by now but nope, I am not. But if I grew up around cursing at age 7 then I would be an ignorant little bastard who can't talk without dropping the f-bomb every three words.

There was this "no cursing" server I was on and while playing scout I repeatedly spammed Jeers trying to get out every curse word while standing near an engineer admin. Needless to say I got banned. :downs:

There is no such thing as profanity. The whole idea that a word can be "bad" is complete bullshit that somebody made up. The next time somebody tells you to watch your language, as them why they believe the words you are saying are "bad", I guarentee that they won't be able to answer you.

Last time I joined one of these servers by accident I was banned for asking the admin why HE was swearing while chewing out others for swearing. Man was I fucking pissed after that.
