xFire if you're not bothered about quality in any sense and only want to post stuff on xFire
Wegame if you want higher quality but it's only postable on wegame.com
Fraps if you want high quality, thought it can be a little fidgety ( I own fraps myself ) And can be posted on many sites (YouTube, Vimeo, whatever floats your boat.)
Personally I prefer Fraps, you need a decent computer thought to handle the filesize and the slight FPS drop.
You can post wegame videos on youtube. Just have to root around in your files for it.
Does anyone know a good video recorder for games?
It has to be free.
WeGame doesent work with audio for me.
Anyone ideas?
Fraps has a free version that let's you record at 30 seconds at a time, But you should buy it. It's the best I've used because it's just simple as shit to use. The file size from the video you take is going to be astronomical until you edit and compress in Movie Maker or Vegas
Other than that, if you want a totally free one, you can try Xfire, but I don't think it has as much flexibility, or Gamecam if you don't mind a watermark in the lower right corner

Videos made using WeGame are usable anywhere
Wegame definetly
Only issue I have with fraps is the huge file size. I'd recommended it, though. You could crop the watermark from the shot if it bothers you.
Low Bitrate
High Quality
Good Performance.
Fraps is the bottom two, and I'm glad it is. Fraps is pretty much the only lossless recorder.
Edit: Didn't realize this was an old topic, sorry.

Uh, yeah, you're supposed to edit and compress the video yourself afterwards. It doesn't do that while recording for speed reasons -- realtime compression results in a HARD hit on speed.
